I know. I had it in my cart all day and then came home tonight, finally deciding to bite the bullet and it was no longer there. I bet they do another sale, maybe Cyber Monday??? And now the price has gone up by $60. I guess if we snooze, we lose.

Is this better than the cricut? I have a cricut that I use with sure cuts a lot and I have a feeling that the silhouette is similar to the set up that I used. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my set up! When my cricut bites the dust, I will be selling my cartridges and gypsy and getting myself a silhouette. As long as it works with my Mac. I use it with my Mac.

You might want to check Silhouette America's website after midnight. They are supposed to be having a great sale.

And now it is no longer available at that price - it has gone up $40. Just thought i was pass this along. I'm sorry! It was a deal of the day, and they usually have limited numbers at the good price, so I'm not surprised it went off special at around midnight EST. if I see it again, I'll post!

Well, elaine warned us that she'd be an enabler and so far, she's doing a great job!
Ha, agreed! I don't know whether to keep reading (stalking) or hide my wallet

This will expand your creative capabilities so much you will regret not having the larger cutting area. You can still cut small things. I tape 1" squares to my mat for cutting small things and it's fine.

I bought mine a couple of years ago at your suggestion. It took me awhile to set it up, but I love it now! I'm printing up some Thanksgiving placecards right now. I think "Elaine" is shorthand for "enabler!" Meant in a good way, of course!

Thanks for the update, Elaine!
I've forwarded it on to DH. I've been sending him hint-filled e-mails since last week about one, so unless he's already bought my gift, I'm pretty sure he'll get it for me for Christmas.

Costco online has the Silhouette Cameo for $199 and it has a vinyl bundle with it. It has been that price for several days. I'm not sure about shipping costs on it, though.

Is this better than the cricut? I have a Cricut and about 20 or so cartridges. I have loved the Cricut, it worked well, but I have always hated how limited it is. A while back, I had bought Make the Cut software and was using it with that. However, after a while, Provo Craft sued all software companies so they would stop making their software compatible with the Cricut. I could never get an upgrade and eventually my laptop got too old and so I could no longer connect to the software anymore. I have never really been happy with the fonts in any cartridge, so I always tended to use the same ones over and over. I wanted more variety that just wasn't there. After hearing all my complaints about the limited availability, my husband told me we should some day find a way to get out of the Cricut and go to something I would like better. He is also an Apple hater for the same reason and most of our devices at home are Android based, so we don't have to use I-Tunes. So to him, Provo Craft is the Apple of the crafting world. I know Provo Craft is trying to improve with their software they have now, but I just couldn't ever get on board with it, so I have been holding out for something different for a long time. I believe, or at least it was before that the software was through the internet and not something you could download on your computer. That won't work for me since I sometimes use it in places there is no internet connection. I showed him the deal of $179 and he ordered it that day and it is now sitting in my bedroom waiting for Christmas to come so I can play with it. I'm excited to have the ability to cut any of my fonts that I own on my computer, and the ability to cut anything. I have several friends and family members who have Silhouettes and they love them. I haven't heard of anybody yet who has regretted the purchase. My nephew's wife even had a Cricut and sold it and bought something else (I don't think she has a Silhouette, though), because the Cricut was too limiting. I have already downloaded the Silhouette Studio (it's free) and have downloaded some free designs. I have been playing with it a bit and watching some YouTube videos. I'm excited for Christmas and it is probably a good thing I don't get it until then because I would have a hard time staying away from it when I have a ton of other stuff to get done before then. So, that was long and winded - sorry. I guess I'm just a little excited!
