My extended family on my mom's side thinks any Republican candidate, including him, is better than any Democrat. They'll absolutely vote for him if he's the nominee. I suspect there are lots of peas who feel the same.

Sooner or later, he is going to insult everyone, whatever their race, class, sex, disability, nationality, etc. I have to believe that his supporters don't really believe his rhetoric, but enjoy hearing him say the awful things he does because it is so "non-PC" and "real." They enjoy hearing the crap said out loud.
I hope.

One supporter my FIL talked to expressed that she was so happy he was saying the (gross, racist, sexist, bigoted) things she had wanted to say for years. It's like Independence Day for the worst among us.

While I am not really all that thrilled with any of the choices this election season, Donald Trump and his volatile and bigoted statements are not what we, as a country, need to represent us on the world stage. . No, you really don't. I cannot imagine how world leader summits, negotiations etc would unfold with him as your president. I can remember joking about this some months ago, never seriously considering he'd get this far. Now it's looking scary.....I can't imagine how it must be for you!!! Disturbing and surreal is how it feels. I don't know how his wife keeps from smothering him at night with a pillow when he makes fun of people with accents. Not to mention 2/3 of his wives haven't been born in US, yet he's so ugly about immigration. Creep creep creepy!

I am deeply disturbed by... ...YOUR NEW AVATAR! No, really, it's cute. I just get thrown by new avatars. I saw it, thought, "Hmm, who's this?," started reading, thought, "Hmm, she's smart," and then finally looked at the name. (So yes, I'm both chiding and complimenting you.) (My feelings about Mr. Trump are significantly less ambivalent.) Sorry about the confusion! It is a big football weekend in the state of Florida and I admit that I am a true (orange and) blue fan. And thank you for the compliment.

I suspect there are lots of peas who feel the same. I had The View on the other day, and they were talking about the fact that his poll numbers are so high. Candance Cameron-Bure said that if he was the republican nominee she would vote for him. Sad to see that some will vote the party line even when the nominee is an a$$.

Yeah, I do agree with you in reality. I hate to think it's true, but I think that the people who are so virulently "anti-pc" are, in general, bigots of varying degree. The Pollyanna in me wants to believe better about people.

If the people who support Donald Trump knew how he really felt about them, they would be shocked. If you have seen the documentary about his golf course in Scotland, you have seen how he treats people that he deems lower-class than himself. He belittles them, he makes fun of them, he is ugly about it! I would imagine that he completely makes fun of his supporters on a regular basis. I would love to hear what he says behind closed doors...

I don't support Trump, I fully support gay rights and have gay friends and loved ones who mean the world to me, and I fully support religious rights and have religious friends and loved ones who mean the world to me, just to make that clear from the get go. I disagree with your assessment of anti-PC people. Anti-PC people in general are not bigots of any degree. They're just people who are tired of being called bigots simply because they've been raised with traditional values that have been valued for centuries and the world just seemingly flipped a switch to devalue certain of those values and they haven't caught up yet. They're just people who are tired of being called less than human, xenophobes simply because, they disagree with how to handle the refugee crisis. They're just people who are tired of being called racists, because they don't like some of the President's policies or being lied to by him. They're just people who are tired of being called bigots because they don't understand why kids get suspended from school for hugging a person of the opposite sex, but they're expected to shower and change with the opposite sex. They're tired of people who DEMAND tolerance for their beliefs, but refuse to tolerate or offer any helpful perspective to anyone who is just now having any experience with transgender people and don't know exactly what to think of it and how to handle the ways it will suddenly affect them. They're just people who are tired of being called racist because they acknowledge things like the President is in fact black and that ALL lives DO in fact, matter. In other words, anti-PC are people who are just tired of the people who want to claim the truth has SUDDENLY become hate speech.

He is a creep. But are "real" people supporting him? We're in a republican majority area and I don't know anyone who supports him. I feel like we're all being punked, or he's bought all the outlets to report he's in the lead. Can't believe he's still going... I know a mix of conservatives, (democrats) and libertarians and I don't know anyone IRL or on FB that actually supports him or says they are voting for him. Added (democrats) not because I think they would vote for him, but so people know I don't ONLY know conservatives and libertarians I do have a mix of people in my life

He operates on an adolescent level. Is that someone we want leading our country? I hope that we can elect someone who can inspire us to be better than we are, rather than dragging us down. Isn't that what a real leader is all about?
The fact that the Republican party isn't dumping him has me worried. How can one of the two major political parties tolerate him? I have no preference (yet) for a presidential candidate, but I am having a hard time stomaching that his behavior is tolerated (and even endorsed) by a good number of folks.
It just goes against almost everything I find moral or even minimally acceptable. The way he speaks about people is reprehensible and he seems (to me, at least) to be totally out of touch with what we need as a nation.

I don't like him but to mock his physical appearance at the same time he is mocking someone else's physical appearance seems redundant aren't we meant to be better than him not exactly like him

Glad to see that Chris Christie is starting to push back at Trump. Trump will be an absolute dick about it, but Christie can take it. I wouldn't vote for him, but I like Chris Christie. He was often on Morning Joe and I really enjoyed listening to him.

well I thought that the reporter said they had met several times & they always shook hands I saw something about that too. Yeah, you just can't say "You've got to see this guy!", bend your hand exactly the way the reporter's hand is bent when you mimic him and then say, "I've never seen this guy before and would never mock his disability." and be credible.
