I've been craving meatloaf the last few days so if I were cooking tonight that's what I'd make. Along with scalloped potatoes and buttered corn What's on your dinner menu tonight?

More leftovers. I am going to mix it up though. I am going to make mashed potato pancakes, and chop up the turkey into a gravy-almost like the inside of a turkey pot pie.

I hope you can satisfy your cravings very soon akathy. We were at BIL's for Thanksgiving so we are making a mini version for the two of us. Herb butter rubbed roasted chicken, stuffing, cheesy potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce and either sauteed or roasted green beans. Pumpkin roll for dessert.

Saturday which means it's eating out night. Oldest ds is at a sleepover, youngest I think has a playdate and I'm secretly hoping that turns into a sleepover too. Then dh and I can have a date night. Which because of zero family within several thousand miles means it's a very rare, like every couple of years, occassion.

I have turkey soup going in the slow cooker, and I'll make noodles later to serve it over. We'll have carrot-apple muffins to go along.

Pizza delivery. The Florida-Florida State game starts at 4:30pm Pacific time, so we won't be going anywhere until that's over, including into the kitchen to cook.

Oven fried chicken, broccoli and probably rice pilaf. We are testing cookie recipes today, so cookies for dessert.

Turkey rice soup is in the crockpot right now. I might get ambitious and make some homemade bread to eat with it.

Not sure. Dh is at his end of the year softball get together, not sure when he will be home. Ds has a gathering at 6. If it's just me, I will probably just have some pierogies.

My sil is coming and I have no idea. Though I'm very tired after a busy week. TBD. I'll let you all know. Maybe someone will post and I'll find my answer. Have a great Saturday everyone.

Yep! Same here. And I am happy about it. The kids' dad was super helpful and cleaned the kitchen for me. I also immediately threw everything in my large soup pot for turkey soup/stock, including celery and onions. I just need to add carrots and dumplings, and we'll have that Monday night. Tomorrow, I have a coupon to go back to MOD pizza, which is a pizza bar place. While I have eaten better pizza, I love the idea that everyone gets *exactly what they want for the same price, no matter how many toppings. I love pizza with garlic sauce, spinach and lots of mozza! No tomato sauce. Of course, with 2 teen boys, they look at me like I just grew three horns on my head if I suggest that! LOL. Lisa

The family members visiting left this morning so it's just the three of us tonight. We are watching college football most of the day. By husband's request, dinner is hobo packets - a ground beef patty, potatoes, and onions all cooked in a foil packet.

ds heads back to VA at 5:00am tomorrow (where did the week go?) so I wanted to make him a good comfort food dinner. Beef stew & biscuits should do the trick. It's been in the crockpot for a couple of hours and the house already smells wonderful!

Baked teriyaki chicken, fried rice and roasted broccoli. I wanted something easy since I still don't feel good and have zero energy. Such a fun way to spend vacation, ugh! Hope we're all healthy in March, when my Dh is on vacation again It's a bummer when you have to plan your vacations months ahead, not knowing what is going to be going on in your life at the time.

We are doing our own mini Thanksgiving dinner since Thursday was at the in-laws house. Pumpkin pie, mashed potatoes, green beans and turkey. The turkey has about another hour to go and the house smells fantastic. I tired the butter/cheesecloth method and some I'm very curious to see what Mr. Turkey looks like when I remove the cheese cloth soon.

I'm getting a little stronger every day although I may have to be on TPN for quite a long time yet. My body does not absorb any nutrients at all and we're not sure if it's permanent now or not. Only time will tell.

I had a late lunch of Thanksgiving leftovers, and I really feel like I should just eat an apple for supper! Something very very minimalist, anyway!

Dd #1, age 16, is inviting her boyfriend over tonight to watch movies ... they have been together for seven months and we've only met the dude once I'm not sure if he will be here for dinner or not but it would be nice I plan to make baked skin on, bone in, chicken breasts with mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy and peas ... Then dh and I have been told to scram so we are going to see the new James Bond movie, Spectre

I'm going to make my Mexican style chicken and veggie soup. I need to eat something light and vaguely healthy, after the past couple of days. There's lots of BBQ ribs left but I'm saving them for tomorrow.

It's Saturday, which means that dh is in charge of dinner, so it will be either pizza or chinese. I've already cooked one turkey today and the second one will be out of the oven in about 1.5 hours. I cooked one for Thanksgiving, then another one yesterday. I made dd promise not to bring home any more turkeys for me to cook. No matter how good of a deal they are! I know that I'll be thankful to have the meat and drippings/gravy in the freezer in the future, but good grief I am tired of cooking, carving, and cleaning up turkeys!

Not sure what is on th menu tonight. Our guests left an hour ago, there aren't enough leftovers for a meal and DD is out with a bunch of friends home for the weekend and they might end up back here later. I'm thinking pasta or pizza will work for just a couple of us and can be expanded for a possible crowd.

(We were informed on Thanksgiving that our niece, who is in high school, is pregnant).
