Today I added another pair of boots to my closet and then I decided to count them (from covering ankles to knee high). I think I may have a boot problem, and I'm definitely on a boot buying sabatical now. Then I added up their value. In my defense, I do wear boots daily this time of year. Please fess up about how many pairs you have if you live in a cold/wet winter climate. I'm hoping you all can make me feel better about myself...thanks!

Sorry, I only have one pair! But I'm not much into shopping in general.

I only have one pair of "real" boots. I define "real" boots as those I could actually wear while shoveling. I have lots of "fake" boots (or, boots that are cute and wintry, but definitely super shitty for actually doing any real cold weather walking/working).
It's a problem. LOL

I have a pair of actual winter boots that I would wear tromping about in the snow and one pair of Docs. that's it for boots for me.

Sorry just 3 here - one pair of snow boots and 2 pairs of rain/rubber boots. I hate shopping and have bad feet so that is my excuse. I wish I had more so that I could validate you though. . ETA: I forgot about my 2 pairs of cowboy boots...I was originally going to answer just 1 but that would have been an out and out lie.

I guess it depends on what kind of boots you're talking about.
Functional boots - I have three: hiking, snow, rain.
"Fashion" boots - 5.

Hmmm well you haven't given your number. I have cowboy boots for rodeos and country concerts. I have rubber boots for spring mud. I have 2 pairs calf to knee high boots with heels. I have 1 pair of tall boots with no heels. I probably have 4 pairs of warm winter snow boots. I have one pair of ankle with fur for very little snow. I have a pair of UGGs which I never seem to wear. That's off the top of my head.
How are you feeling now? I like a variety for all the degrees of weather we have. I have many coats too but I live in northern Canada.

Too many. Especially considering I just started buying them a few years ago. Before my sister introduced me to justfab.com two years ago, I only had one pair of boots--a cheap pair of walmart boots that I kept in the car for emergencies or for shoveling. Then I got two pairs from justfab and decided I liked boots. I now have a few pair of Ugg knock offs, a decent pair of cute but functional snow boots, two pair of tall boots (brown, gray, and just ordered black), three pairs of mid calf boots (brown, gray and black) and a few pair of shorter ones. Only a few of them came from justfab, but that is just when I decided to start wearing them. I don't buy super expensive boots, though.

One. And they are big, warm clunky ones with ice gripping tread. I live where it feels like there is ice and snow for 5-6 months of the year, so I don't give a crap about style. I want my feet to be warm when it's -25 degrees, and to not slip and break something hitting the pavement!

Some of you are actually making me feel a little better thank you! In the spirit of full disclosure, I have a pair of snow boots, a pair of hiking boots, and then 12 more pairs of fashion boots. As I said, I'm on a boot buying moratorium now!

Dh and I are wanting to move to Massachusetts in the coming year (approved by new team manager and others in Boston, just waiting for the extremely slow moving wheels of HR, etc.-- we're not moving until after the pay raise, etc. is in place because we don't want to get up there and there be a huge delay or other snafu)
Right now I have a pair of Bass rain boots that are the classic Hunter style (they're not warm, so I only wear them for short periods in the snow or rain) a pair of plain brown cowboy style messing around the barn boots, my old black knee high riding boots (they tie at the ankle so aren't very waterproof) a pair of dark brown Born knee high riding boots with a 2 inch heel, and my new black flat Cole Haan knee high riding boots.
I want to get a pair of flat brown knee high boots with a lug sole for better gripping on ice and snow and a few pairs of ankle boots and mid calf boots.
I mostly have loafers, ballet flats, and peep toe flats right now, so I need some better shoes that will stand up to slush and ice better.
I've lived in Detroit and Chicago for over 10 years, so I'm used to snow and ice. I've just living in NC for the past 5 years and now have lighter shoes.
I don't think it's a bad thing to have a lot of different types of boots. They look good with so many different styles of outfits AND keep your feet dry and warm.
For those of you with suede boots--how do they stay nice looking in icy/snowy weather? I understand not wearing them when it's actively snowing/icing, but in Chicago the streets were slushy and nasty from late October to May. Does the waterproof spray keep them looking nice?

All my boots were purchased half price or less and all are at least 2 years old ( I really look after them.) I have 3 pr knee- length flat leather boots, I pr knee length with a chubby heel and two pairs of leather ankle boots. I also have 1 or of knee length snow boots and a pair of suede sketchers that look like uggs- I can't walk far in those as they slip on my ankles, so I use them as slippers . I don't have any 'fashion' boots, as such.
Living in the UK I need boots!
