I am currently sitting in the pediatrician's office with my 5 year old. He has had crazy high fevers the last two days along with stomach pain and throat pain. The nurse took his temp and it was 101.9 so its going back up I'm thinking dinner is some kind of take out at this point.

@carblover443, I hope that recovery goes quickly for both of you. JoP, I hope you can leave the hospital soon. Those meals sound very unappetizing. We have a work-related event tonight. I'm tired, have to go. It's at a new restaurant/venue, and I hope that the food is better than last year.

The Dr did a rapid strep test and it was negative, but he is going to start on an antibiotic for it since he showing many symptoms of it. I pray he starts feeling better soon and that everyone else stays strep free!!!

newlywoods03 and @carblover443, I'm very sorry that your little ones are so ill. newlywoods03 , Are you getting some sleep? You both need lots of rest and I wish your ds fast healing. Once those antibiotics kick in you'll have a brand new boy. @carblover443, just try and remember that little infants are very resilient. Sounds like your baby had great care and now you can be hover mommy at home where you'll both get more rest. Having an infant in the hospital is the most stressful thing, but they're over it and we're the ones who worry. You need to get as much rest as is possible w/an infant, so that you can heal, too. Lots of mommy hugs to both of you.

Gosh, I haven't posted on a dinner thread in a while. So I'm going to tell you what we had the past three nights! Lol. We went to a new Cuban cafe in town Tuesday opened by a friend of mine and her new husband - Cuban sandwich, empanadas, a sampler platter, flan & tres leches cake. Last night we went to my in-laws for a family birthday and had spaghetti. Tonight, I made pasta with a creamy mushroom sauce here at home. Sending good wishes for healing to @carblover443 newlywoods03 and @pascoepea - hope all the sickies feel better soon!

Wait! Your little guy was in the hospital!?!?! I must have missed that bit of news. I am glad he's home and feeling better. Take care of yourself as well. Strep always kicks my butt when I get it. I never posted it here. He was diagnosed with bronchiolitis on Friday and on Monday morning he was admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with RSV. Terrifying. All I know is that they should not have to make baby sized hospital gowns. He's breathing much better now and his oxygen level is up and he will just have some lingering congestion for a few weeks. Holy cow! I'm so glad to hear he's home and recovering.

The Birdhouse Lady peasapie and thundergal - they're traditionally made from offal, liver and Pork - it's quite a common dish for the part of the U.K. Where I live. I forgot that faggot may have a different meaning across the pond

Yes, JoP, the meaning is a little different over here and I admit I used google to help me because I wondered for half a second it they were "feeding" you cigarettes. I hope your are healing & home to better food quickly. @carblover443 and newlywoods03 it is so scary when our babes are sick, so hoping yours are both on their way to full recovery. Things have been hectic around here and I realized at 6:15 that I had no idea what was for dinner, so that meant a quick frittata was thrown together. Supper fast & easy and everyone in my family loves it: potato, onion, spinach, feta & eggs hit the spot tonight. I added a raw vegetable plate while it was cooking (cucumber, red peppers & carrots).
