What type of diet are you on? How are you doing?
I'm on a 1200 calorie diet and I'm doing well but it's hard getting hit with all the recipes and pictures of holiday treats. Pinterest is killing me. I wish there was a way to turn off certain types of pins for X amount of time.

I am on WW. Trying to stay away from all the goodies. I was going to bake some cookies but I know I would probably eat most of them!

I've lost some weight recently and I want to lose some more. I'm not going to do any baking this year which is something I really enjoy. There are certain foods that trigger binge eating for me and I need to avoid those foods altogether at least for now.

I'm not dieting per se, but I am transitioning to a Whole Food Plant Based way of eating. Lucky for me, I have pretty much zero social life, due to my illness, so I am not around all of the tempting things I have been in years past. It's a mindset change for sure though, and I will admit there is a lot to learn, so I guess that keeping busy learning will keep me from buying and consuming all of that yummy junk that I have normally shoveled in. Good luck to all of you! It's hard to stop the 'this tastes so good that I'm going to eat it even if it isn't good for me' pattern that sneaks up on us especially during the holidays.

I have switched to mostly paleo after finishing a couple of whole 30's and am staying about 98% compliant.

Weight Watchers here as well. Just sticking to plan. Used some weekly points tonight since I went to a cookie exchange. I ate 4 cookies instead of 20 lol!

Not an official diet for me but my DH was recently diagnosed with diabetes so in support of him, I told him if he couldn't eat things like ice cream and french fries that I wouldn't either. I am also walking 30 min a day with him to help his motivation. It is worth missing out on some of the goodies to avoid the extra pounds.
I would say Pintrest is not your friend this time of year. Good Luck everyone!

Today is the last day of my most recent 21 day fix round. I did a challenge group this time and have adopted the 80/20 rule as well as a "lifestyle" meal each week...both learned in the group. I try to be on target with my eating at least 80% of the time. If I have a cookie that someone brought me...I try not to stress too much. I also have one fun "lifestyle" meal a week. Some people call it a cheat meal, but I like the term lifestyle more. I'm not doing anything wrong by cheating...but instead I'm making this eating program work for the lifestyle I want to have longterm.
I just got on the scale this morning and realized that I lost 5 pounds over 3 weeks...including Thanksgiving and a work Christmas party.

WW here also! I'm down 47lbs since late January, but we recently gained custody of a 17yr old girl, who eats all the time! And she's a twig! I think I've gained back 2lbs si ce she moved in! I need to make time to get back to the grocery store to buy food for meals rather than quick type, junk stuff. I need to get my motivation and dedication to myself, back on track.

Not dieting but clamping down on my diet. I'm not eating white flour, rice, white/brown sugar and trying to stay between 1300-1500 calories. On Sat night, I eat whatever dessert (including full sugar). I'm looking at many of the vegan sites like "Oh She Glows" for recipes using all natural baking ingredients and trying to budget in treats using My Fitness Pal. I look at how many carbs/fats/sugars are in each treat and fit it into my diet. I'm trying to keep my carbs under 100g per day. I made this the other day Blueberry Crumble It is all natural and we ate it for breakfast LOL. There is quite a bit of healthy fat and calories so you have to budget that into your day and eat less fat/less calories than usual for the rest of the day. This way, you have a sweet treat (but it's healthy) and don't feel deprived. Look at Chocolate Covered Katie for ideas on natural, healthy desserts that can fit into your diet. I used this site all the time while losing 40lbs. I've gained 10 back so I'm working on bringing my weight back down. Congratulations to all that have lost weight!! It's hard but so worth it.

I'm not dieting per se but for the last 10-12 years I've really tried living a healthier lifestyle in the eating and exercising dept. I've struggled this year with gaining and losing the same 10-15 lbs. I do really well for a week or two and then suck for a week or two. I'm currently in the doing pretty well for a week or two stage. I made a buttload of cookies this week and while I've indulged a bit, I've been pretty good at not going overboard. Because of the unseasonably nice temps here, I've even been able to walk outside some. I went to the track and walked for 40 mins this morning.
This time of year is definitely difficult for me. My dh is on vacation until the new year and we both love to go out for breakfast/dinner a few days. I'm still planning on doing that but I also plan on cutting back the rest of the day that we do those things to help compensate.

Not really dieting, but I need to lose few lbs. I've been trying to stay away from the holiday crap...it's not working. Oh well, there's always next month, right? I guess as long as I don't gain more I've been successful.

I wish there was a way to turn off certain types of pins for X amount of time. My pinterest suggests things based on previous pins... so I'm not getting holiday treats. I am working on going gluten free and very low carb. What I am getting for food suggestions are keto, paleo, atkins things. I refuse to pin things "for the grandkids" or "for the office party" I save those bookmarks outside of pinterest and save very few of them. THe kids don't need to equate sugar with a good time anymore than they already do. I only need a couple of "tried and true" recipes to be traditions at Tutu's house. It doesn't need to be tons of new ideas every year! and the people at the office can deal with a keto dish at the pot luck. Pin a whole bunch of fashion pins, or home decorating (non holiday especially) and that will clear up the suggested treat pins eventually. as for dieting over the holidays; I am trying to set up a new lifestyle. I"ll adhere to it as best I can over the holiday season. Not keep temptations at home, consider how many events with food I really need to attend (try not to show up hungry at the ones I do attend). Then not beat myself up over the times I do stray from my meal plans. I feel like if I can maintain I will have done well.

I lost a bunch of weight over a year's time staying within that calorie count. As long as I stayed eating healthy it wasn't a problem, but once something not so healthy pops into the equation that calorie count goes out the window :/ This year I'm trying my best to maintain, though this week has been baking week and I've strayed! I totally understand the lure of treats...Pinterest, FB, etc. I used to play an online game called Hayday, and sometimes the cartoon food in it would trigger cravings! Seriously! Best of luck to you!

I don't diet anymore. To me diet says you do it for a period of time and then don't. What I do now is have a "way of eating". Mostly low carb. That is my way of eating. When I think of my way of eating it doesn't bring up all the past failures the way the word "dieting" does. It works much better for me psychologically, I guess.

I am doing Prevent, which is a program that I joined through work. Our group has been going for a week, and I've lost 2.6 pounds this week. So I'm happy with that.
Because of the season, I'm not being super restrictive - we have a lot going on. I did a ton of baking yesterday and sampled a little bit, but not much at all. I haven't had any of it today and don't really want any, which is really not normal for me!!
