I bought the family the Keurig 2.0 450 in aqua when it was the TSV at QVC and wrapped it up for Chanukah. We had a Keurig years ago, when they first came out, but like our coffee stronger and it eventually was replaced after a year or so. The new pod sizes available to use with the 2.0 machines appealed to me, because I like a mug of coffee, and adding more water without more coffee just weakened it. The mug pods sounded perfect! Not to mention the carafe option. I also want my 14 and 16 yo boys with special needs to be less dependent on me for snacks and drinks, and with the hot chocolate, cider, and the things like lemonade and iced tea (that you brew over ice), in addition to the soups now, it seemed worth a try. I actually guessed right for once! I'm sure it will die down, but it has been one week since they opened it for Chanukah and it is getting used all. The. Time. Soup and lemonade are their favorites. Hot chocolate before school. I love the strength of the mug pods for my coffee and the Diet Peach Tea Snapple tastes just like the stuff you buy in bottles. I'm drinking 2-3 pods of the iced tea alone per day! So, if you are looking for a good family gift, you might to consider a new Keurig.

I bought the same one in aqua! I love it!! We have been Keurig fans since the beginning, but this one is really great. I bought the original 2.0 when it came up but there were things about it I didn't like. This new one fixes all those issues. I'm glad I bought it and we took the other one to our beach house. I second your recommendation!

I ordered the Keurig TSV last week for my daughter. I guess I didn't pay much attention to the presentation, lol. Do I need to buy K Cups that are made only for the 2.0?

I bought the 2.0 for my office but someone said that the 2.0 can only use certain pods so it's not as versatile as older models. Does anyone know how true that is? I haven't opened it yet and wondered about taking it back.

It was an issue when they first came out but honestly, almost all of them have the check mark now. Just look on the boxes to make sure you see the little Keurig symbol with the checkmark on it. I actually buy the regular envelopes of hot chocolate and regular tea bags and we just use the hot water feature for those. It's cheaper and there is more variety. I love my Keurig coffee though.
I'm bummed that I didn't realize that it came in aqua. I would love to have an aqua coffee pot!!!

You just need to buy Keurig certified cups, OR there is a little clip you can buy on Amazon called a "freedom clip" and it blocks the sensor, so you can use any k-cup pods, even the older non-certified ones. There is a video on the listings at Amazon that shows how to use it. The plus side about the 2.0 is that besides regular K-cups, you can use k-mug cups for a 12-14-16 oz cup of coffee, rather than the small k-cup size. You can also use k-carafe pods that will make a small carafe of coffee, like a regular coffee maker. The carafe came with the QVC TSV.

The aqua was only on QVC. It is beautiful! I love over the hot water dispenser feature too - they have done a nice job of putting in so many useful features since Keurigs first came out years ago.
