I didn't think the Volkswagen scandal would be at the top for California. Estately put together a list of what each state googled more than any other state in 2015.

Must have been a lot of Delawareans that wanted to see Pope Francis when he was in Philly.

In MN the blacklivesmatter group has very much been in the news since early this summer. So it's not surprising.

Water on Mars? This must be made up. I've become cynical in my old age. My thought was "Really? No repeats? Every one of the 50 states have a unique item most googled?"

Kaley Cuoco? Who the hell...off to google. At least I work in Iowa so it won't confirm the stupidity in Nebraska!

I agree - I think this is made up. There is no way Frank Gifford was the most googled thing in CT. No way. Someone is trying to get hits on their blog...
ETA - I just read the blog. They put random phrases into google to see which state googled that phrase the most - which makes much more sense but is hardly scientific!

Got it. I only paid attention to the thread title and misunderstood.

I think the 'answers' were done via random word generator.

World Series totes makes sense! Considering the Royals won the World Series this year. Except the Royals are technically in MO and not KS....

Water on Mars? This must be made up. I've become cynical in my old age. My thought was "Really? No repeats? Every one of the 50 states have a unique item most googled?" It says at bottom of map.... what each state googled more than any other state in 2015. so it's not necessarily the most googled but may be from down the list but beat every other state in that subject. "Christmas" (or whatever) could have been googled the most in every state but not more than any other state. Oops. It was stated above. I missed it. Sorry for the repeat explanation.
