In Australia we are in the middle of a heatwave with my hometown experiencing 44 today (111 F) so everyone has been hoping for a cool change for this time next week. Thankfully it will come through and we should have a perfect 31 (88 F) for Christmas Day. Ideal temp for our usual outdoor day with swimming. Is is anyone expecting a white Christmas. I just can't imagine Christmas Day being cold, just like most of you couldn't imagine the ones we experience I guess

I think the forecast for this coming is week is cold tomorrow (the high is 68) and then it warms back up to the mid 80's for the week, including Christmas.

Good heavens! 88 degrees F on Christmas Day??? I can't imagine. That would make me grumpy...Christmas is supposed to be cold. It is forecast to be 65 degrees F here in Virginia on Christmas Day, but we are heading to "colder" Ohio, where the forecast is 54 degrees. By far one of the warmest Christmases I can remember, especially for Ohio.

Last I looked our forecast shows a high of 75 on Christmas Day. I'm in Texas. I wish it would be just a little bit colder than that!

Highs in the mid 70's for Christmas Day here in the New Orleans area. Today we started off in the 50's and by late afternoon the a/c was cutting on (as normal).

It's looking as though we can expect wet and windy weather here in the UK over Christmas with not much chance of snow with temps remaining on the mild side for the time of year.

I'm in your hometown Allie and yes it's expected to hit 44C- 111 F here today. It has been close to this for the past 4/5 days. Hopefully the cool change is coming through tonight and it will go down to 26C -78.8F.
It's currently 41.4C at 12pm.
Christmas Day we are expecting 29C- 84.2F. We will still cook our roasts but will have lots of cold ham, prawns and maybe crayfish or crabs. Our pool is out of action but we did buy one of those blow up pools so we have something to sit in at least!

Supposed to be 60F here in Syracuse. No wonder I can't get into the Christmas spirit.

We are expecting a white Christmas in Utah. We got over a foot of snow at our house this past Monday. Snow predictions start again on Sunday and run all the way through Saturday.

It is projected to be 52 degrees and possible rain here in California. That is both very good and not so good. We need the rain so desperately we shouldn't gripe about any moisture that comes our way, but the kids are getting bikes for Christmas so that is not so wonderful. We grateful either way.

We will be cold this weekend (mid 30's) but will be back up in the 60's for Christmas Eve/Day. I'm in Connecticut, so this is NOT normal. And it's kind of creepy.

Today is the only white day we've had in my area of Michigan. By Tuesday it'll be gone. Heck, it'll probably be gone tomorrow. It's looking like a rare green Christmas for us.

It's supposed to be near 50F and rainy. Very unusual for this area, it's usually much colder and we usually have snow.
Not only can I not imagine 111F on Christmas, I really can't imagine it at all. I live in Indiana and temps never get that high. Is that typical for Australia this time of year, it's the beginning of summer, right?

Well it will get yo about 50 but it will be rainy and in the high 20s low 30s overnight. We had a white New Years and hoping for no white stuff this year. We lost three trees with damage to several others. That and the thought of driving in it not my idea of fun. We should leave here while it is still in the 30s. No snow clearing equipment because it only snows every 10 years. Mostly afraid of other drivers and ice. This is defineately colder than normal. We had been having a heatwave then cold then hot and now cold again. It's weird.

Looks like rain in So. Cal. I can't remember the last time it rained on Christmas Day! Usually the kids are out playing on Christmas.

Is that typical for Australia this time of year, it's the beginning of summer, right? Summer started December 1st and it is a bit unusual to have temps this high in December. We may have the odd day but areas have had 4 days of temps over 100 this week. i live in an inland area so our Summers are very hot and we have many days over 100 each year with several over 110. I'm used to it, not pleasant if you have to do a lot of work outside but our heat is very dry and I can handle it much better than cooler temps that have high humidity.

We have snow in the forecast for the next 6 days with temps in the low 30's F. Christmas Day shows no snow but a high of 28f. We are in Eastern Washington. We've only had a white Christmas 2 or 3 times in the 14 years we've lived here, so it will be nice to have a White Christmas.

England, as BarbaraUK said, will probably be damp, windy and grey. It's still very mild at around the mid 50s F/low teens C and that has been a bit strange. It's been warmer at night than it usually is during the day at this time of year.

The forecast keeps flip-flopping between rain, which is a given, and snow in our part of western Washington. If it does snow, it will be less than an inch and I doubt it will stick.

Really really mild, my garden is sprouting daisies and my honeysuckle is unfurling new green leaves. In fact, we haven't put the heat on for the last few nights.

Rain and cold (57F/14C high, 37F/2C low) is forecast for us in San Diego. We usually go for a walk at the beach, but I don't think we will this year. As others have said, we need the rain desperately so I'm not complaining.
