Yes, I sound scroogdy, but this Christmas was kind of blah (family moved away, no young kids anymore, strange weather, etc) Plus my cat will just not leave the tree alone, he's driving me nuts.
I usually do like to take stuff down pretty quickly anyways because it's been up so long I'm sick of it. (I realize some people put theirs up later to enjoy after Christmas, but we aren't like that.)
So I'm excited to get up early tomorrow morning to take everything down, except the outdoor lights will stay up until New Years. I'm not alone am I?

I beat you to it; I never bothered putting one up. In past years, I usually started putting the ornaments away on the 26th, and took the tree down on the 27th.

I'm not sure if it'll be tomorrow morning, but if not- soon. Tomorrow I'll have the most help, and I have quite the to-do list. Plus, I could have this baby anytime. I certainly don't want to come back from the hospital and THEN have to deal with the tree & decorations!! So, I'm full on nesting until he gets here!

I'm a "never say never" kind of girl, and this year is why. In my last 40+ Christmases I have never taken down a tree right after Christmas (or lived in home where the adults did that). Typically we leave our tree up until Russian Orthodox Christmas. However, the bizarre weather this year has my seasonal allergies in an uproar, and since our tree is real, for the first time ever we are considering taking the tree down right away. I have never had an issue with a live tree bothering my allergies before, but we've also never had a year like this, so in the hopes of providing me with even a tiny bit of relief, we are seriously considering taking the tree down Sunday afternoon. (We will not be home tomorrow, or we may have done it then.)

I would love to take it down tomorrow. We have to rearrange the living room each year just to fit the tree in, and it's an awkward set up which is making me nuts. Soon. Very soon.

I would love to, but my husband likes it up until New Years. They didn't take theirs down until January 6th. Yeesh.

We opened presents at my mom's this morning. And before, we ate lunch at noon, she had the tree down and put away. She does have a small house, and it was taking up a lot of space with 3 young grandchildren running around.

We used to take it down on New Year's Eve every year, but two years ago, DS started having friends over for a ping pong tournament on the afternoon of New Year's Eve. In order to fit everyone in, we have to take the tree down beforehand. I think dh and ds are taking it down Monday or Tuesday.

I would like to take it down this weekend but I seriously just finished decorating it two days ago and was a lot of work. This year has been weird and I didn't really want ot put the dang thing up but my adult son dragged me out to get a tree a week ago. New Years is probably when it will happen and the weathe rwill be warmer. It is snowing and cold right now. Outting away decorations in the cold garage sounds even less appealing than taking it all down.

DSO has just finished taking our tree down - it's 1:30pm on 26th December. If I had known I would have stopped him. I don't know why he always wants to take it down the very next day. It's not in the way of anything.

Mine has been up since the first week of December, so it will be coming down this weekend. I will leave the table scape, wall shelf decor, and outdoor decorations up for awhile. They are winter decorations, not screaming "Christmas! "

Considering I just decorated our tree last night, I don't plan to take it down until at least Jan. 1. I just couldn't get it in gear this year, then got sidelined when Mom was admitted to the hospital on Monday. There are no little kids involved so it wasn't that big of a deal.

If I have my way it will be. It's supposed to be 55 degrees here tomorrow so the outside lights are the first to come down. And then if all goes well, the inside will all be put away too. A month is more than enough. I want my house back.

We always leave ours up until after the New Year, so I'll probably take it down next Sat or Sun. I brought most our outdoor decorations the other night when we we had tornado warnings. Most of the rest have fallen over or blew across the yard, so I'm bringing everything in tomorrow.

Not tomorrow as we have to visit family but probably Sunday. I need a second ornament box. My snowflakes are overtaking the one we do have.

I have plans for the weekend but most likely Monday it will come down. I love looking at it but I also like getting it down and put away before I go back to work.

I would love to, but my husband likes it up until New Years. They didn't take theirs down until January 6th. Yeesh. Aww. That's our normal routine, too. The 12 Days of Christmas, Russian Christmas, the Epiphany...all various ways of saying "Go ahead...leave up the tree".

NEVER! I love it, is leave it up until February if I could. Actually, I could, but I won't. Still, it never comes down before Jan 1st, ever. I love how it lights up the room and looks so pretty. It's usually up until well into the new year.

Sooooo, I am not the one to really answer this question because last year, I beat my all-time record and didn't get our tree down until Spring Break! Yep, you read that right! It was around the 20th of MARCH. We just just got busy with school, sports, work, etc ... We we don't normally get it put up until about a week before Christmas but gosh that was crazy! I had to dust the ornaments before I put them away! We just finished decorating it last night. It's a huge 9.5 tree and takes forever to decorate because we criss-cross ribbons on it. My 13 YO made it happen. She did her great! I just helped. She was in charge. It's pretty! This year it is my goal to take it down by New Year's Day. AND if I'm being honest, the thought crossed my mind to take it down tomorrow!! LOL (Don't believe me on that though! My track record sucks!) LOLOLOL

My mom always left all the stuff up until Epiphany, January 6. We usually leave it up a week or so beyond Christmas, by then the needles are falling off and it needs to go. If it's a year with snow we plant it in a snow bank somewhere in the yard. When there's no snow like this year it will just get dragged to the fire pit in the back and hope the wind doesn't blow it into the neighbor's yard!

It is 3.00pm 26th Dec - I did think about taking the tree earlier this morning but as the day goes on I think it will be done tomorrow.... or maybe even Monday.
