Except for the Pea card exchange, did you receive fewer cards this year? We usually receive quite a few and this year it has been about half as many. And some that we haven't received are people I've received from for over 30 years. Maybe we'll get a lot more in the next week as some seems to be taking really long to get here. How about you?

The number of cards we receive declines every year although this year we got more than in the past few years.

We definitely received fewer, but I have seen more family greetings posted on Facebook.

I got one.
To be fair, I only sent out three.
I did think I would get at least one more, but no luck there.

Way fewer, however I haven't sent out cards for a couple of years.... Very short on time.

I got 4. I usually fill up our pantry door with them.
But I have not sent them out in 3 years either. No time with finals at Christmas time.

Fewer. Plus, the peas wiped me out and I didn't send any.

We mailed cards, and received only a handful. Our list gets smaller and smaller. There are those we know who don't send that we will continue to send to though.

I got about the same from family and real-life friends.
I sent out and received more from my Pea Friends through the X-Mas card exchange.
I remember back in the 90's, one year, I sent out about 150 cards! To people I really know!! This year I sent out about 5 to people I really know and the rest were to my Pea-Family.

Fewer. I didn't send any yet because my DDs grad photos aren't here yet so I'm sending Happy New year cards.

Glad you posted this. I thought the same thing. I always send out the same amount and have received about half.

I received 7 cards. I sent out 18. I noticed that a lot of the people I keep in touch with through Facebook didn't send me a card and I will probably cut them from my list next year.

I also considered posting this. I think we got 5. Now I don't feel so bad about not sending any

Not really. I got about the same, maybe a few less.
I received about 40. I sent out about the same number to family and friends.
ETA: I am not on Facebook so I am not sure if that skewed things.

Yes, significantly fewer, except from my art-friend exchange. I thought maybe it was because we moved this year and they didn't have my address, but it sounds like Christmas cards are becoming a thing of the past.

We definitely got less. I sent out maybe 25. At my peak I sent out maybe 50, about 5 or so years ago. Now I just send to family and close friends and beyond that it's tit for tat - I exchange with others who enjoy exchanging, but not the list I used to send to.

After making/mailing about 70 cards to the Peas, I was not very productive. I made another 12 cards for very close friends anf family and received just 5 non-Pea cards. One of the many reasons our card exchange was so much fun.

Cadoodlebug, you will have to join the Christmas Card exchange as soon as you can. It was such a joy to receive cards from the Peas, as I was not expecting any. I received 6 from family and friends. The only cards I sent out were to the Peas. Sending out my cards brought me as much pleasure as receiving them.
Do do yourself a huge favor and join as soon as time allows.

I received so many less than previous years that I remarked on it every day. My mom said the same. I sent out about 40 and received about 25, and 2 of those were from people I didn't send to. 4 of them came today. Never the less I bought my cards for next year already and I guess I'll keep up the tradition even as it does out among the younger digital communication generation. I love to send cards and I love to receive cards and I'm sad to see it go by the way side.

Yes, I noticed a significant difference this year. We always send between 50-60 and this year was no different. But we received maybe 20, and usually get twice that.

We sent out about 35 and got 5. Last year we got 20. So a sizable and noticeable decrease. Did not get one Christmas letter either!

Usually I get some businesses and I didn't get any of those this year. I think I got one? And a crap ton from the peas.

I received five. In past years I've received from 5-7. I typically send out around 15 or so. Most of my friends don't send out cards and none of my family does so I never expect to receive very many.

I sent out about 30 and received 12, which was about the same as last year. I'll continue to send out the same, it's mostly to family and a few friends whom I don't see very often. Many are older 60+ and aren't on Facebook.

I posted on the Pea Card thread that I would when we retire. I've never made cards but am inspired to do so. We mail about 200 cards a year between DH's real estate clients and our personal ones. ETA: We receive a few from DH's clients but mostly from friends and family. So far we've received 34 ~ usually we receive between 60 & 70.

We got about the same as last year. We sent 40, and received about 15. Less than years before, for sure, though.

We got about 10 -- two "regular" cards and the rest photo cards, which I love. Each year it's a fewer than the previous year.
To be fair, I did not send cards out this year or last year. I meant to, but just never got it done either year.
