DD getting out a cheese stick and champagne bottle falls right on big toe. I didn't realize there's a growth plate in the great toe. Monitoring it, but I think it is ok. Crazy ... Psa.... Keep your champagne in a safe place..

My son dropped one of those portable TV tables on his foot once. The kind that are wooden and fold down and can be stored a couple on a holder?
His toe looked just like that, and eventually the nail fell off, and regrew. Otherwise he was fine. Hurt like heck at first, though, poor little guy.
Hope your DD's will be fine as well!

That looks painful.
We were at a hotel in Dallas one time before a big football game and the bar tender popped open a champagne bottle w/out covering covering the cork w/ a cloth and the cork flew across the room and hit somebody in the head and he was knocked out cold for a few seconds.

My husband dropped a fridge on my thumb when we were trying to move it. I then went to the bathroom and passed out on the toilet. My thumb still has an indention on it after 15 years.

Ouch! I broke that toe a few years ago. It was really painful. I hope your DD's toe heals quickly and that she can keep the nail. That looks super painful!

Ouch! Hope it heals fast!
We were on a cruise when I was pregnant with ODS. During the first formal night, we felt the engines pick up speed. Soon, it was announced that our cruise was being diverted to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to drop off a passenger who had been hit in the eye with a champagne cork. He had a detached retina that needed immediate treatment. The next morning, everyone was up early, taking pictures of the little Navy ship that came out to meet our cruise ship and the portion of Guantanamo Bay that we could see. The sailors were at the side of their boat taking pictures of us.
