I was just strolling around the options and noticed my email was set to be visible to "everyone."
To change your privacy setting, click "Profile" up above, on the right click "Edit profile", then click "Privacy" You should be able to switch your email to "staff only" there.

While you're in there, poke around under all of the tabs. It gives you the option to hide signatures, etc. There are a lot of things that need to be hid as they are available to everyone. They can be switched to staff only or registered members or both...

I think I will leave my on.. so it is like peamail, right? Or can we message without going through email? (I guess we need new terminology like peamail, peas, etc.)

Thank you! My e-mail has my full name, definitely don't want any old Joe knowing it! I also noticed that there IS a way to block users in case someone shows up who you previously had on ignore.

You know I'm not sure. I think it means my email address is public, not that I can't receive messages. But like I said, I'm not sure.

If you would like to send a private message to someone on here click on the gear wheel next to their post, scroll to "Member" and then select "Send Message."
That is like a peamail. IMO it is wise to hide your actual e-mail address from public view.

Thanks for the heads up, I have changed mine. And in the process I discovered I can change the date format to the CORRECT way Day/Month/Year instead of the wackadoo US way of Month/Day/Year!  |

Meg, I know you're kidding, but do you all say for example "5th February 2001" when you say the date? We would say "February 5th, 2001" so your way looks confusing to us. I guess you would say it the first way?
