Hey everyone, I have season tickets to The Alberta Ballet and they are presenting "Shaping Sound" tonight ... it's choreographed by Travis Wall from So You Think You Can Dance fame ... love him! Totally looking forward to it  That means that I would rather spend my time getting ready than cooking so I'm hoping dh with agree to take out pizza ... easy peasy  What's on your menu tonight? |

We just decided on our way home from my Dad's to skip church and order Chinese so dh can watch the Patriots football game. Then we got rear ended at a stop sign and I'm even happier to not go out again today. We're fine but my car is a bit crunched...driveable though.

I have a copycat recipe for Costa Vida's sweet pork that we're making. I'll use the meat to make quesadillas but I have no idea what to put as a side dish yet.

Younger teen ds will be at his friend's bday party tonight.
I am making salmon and shrimp scampi for the three of us who will be here, including the kids' dad.
Also rice and likely a salad.

As soon as my phone finishes charging, I am headed out the door to an all-day crop that I'm already late for. We'll get dinner out somewhere. I'll be scrapbooking with blueswede and another local friend. |

Unfortunately, you can feel a rear ender w/in a day or 3 after the accident. Hoping that you're fine and that the only damage was that done to your poor car. Relaxing at home is a great idea. Leftovers are a beautiful thing. |

I'm making butternut squash cottage pie. I was supposed to make it for dinner last night, and now I'm really glad I didn't. I started it for lunch today, with the intention of eating leftovers for dinner. It's a new recipe and I didn't read through before adding it to my weekly meal plans. So far I've spent an hour and a half of non-stop prepwork and cooking at the same time. I just put the whole thing in the oven and it has another 40 minutes to go. The meat portion is delicious (I tasted as I was cooking) and I expect it will be a 4 star meal, but I just deleted the recipe from my pinterest board because I am never, not ever, making it again. Nothing could taste good enough to justify the amount of time and effort that went into this meal.

Steaks, loaded baked potatoes, green beans, asparagus, and salad. Ok, probably two of the three veggie things, not all 3. There was some really nice looking asparagus at the store today. Had I noticed the price before the register, I would not have bought it. We will be eating every scrap of it, that's for sure!!

We are eating at a famous fast food/restaurant known only to Atlanta. The Varsity. I will have a chili steak and the best onion rings and a fried pie. Then I will have an antacid for bedtime. LOL

Back when they had scrapbooking stores in my area. I'm getting ready to make a big pot of spaghetti sauce so I'm guessing that's what we'll have ~ with meatballs.  |
