I got a bunch of chicken breasts on sale the other day so I need to make something with chicken ... of course "on sale" here in Canada still means paying a small fortune for chicken I was just e-mailed this recipe from Kraft Canada this morning and it looks tasty so I'm going to give it a shot: Creamy Tomato-Basil Pasta with Chicken

It's meet the teachers night at the HS, so I'll have chicken fajitas ready early and everyone can eat when they want.

I pulled some chicken thighs and chicken stock out of the freezer for roasted honey mustard chicken w/rosemary, risotto, and maybe some green beans almondine to go with.

Nothing fancy today, just a "throw everything in the pot and hope for the best" stew.

I think it's going to be chicken soup. I have some in the freezer, or I might make some new. There is, of course, Costco chicken to go in it. scrapmaven , hope you have a decent day. ETA if scientists ever prove that Costco chicken causes cancer or is otherwise dangerous to my health, I will be in Big Trouble.

Today is steak And sauce - a recipe from my MIL. Just top round London broil cooked with spaghetti sauce for 1+ hours (longer you cook it, the more tender it becomes) served over white rice for DH and brown rice for me.
We will also have some steamed veggies to go with it.

I'm simmering great northern white beans in prep for bean soup with corn bread for dinner tonight.
I'm already drooling.

It must be 2peas Chicken night, because we're having chicken, too. I've got a whole one roasting in the crockpot.
If there are any leftovers, I'll make chicken noodle soup for tomorrow's lunch.

I had a nice dinner planned, but it seems that everyone had other plans that I wasn't aware of. No one but me will be home at dinner time. So.......I DON'T HAVE TO COOK!!!! I will have to have something for dh and ds to heat up when they get home. While I should be flattered that they like my cooking so much that they couldn't possibly stop at one of the 8 kabillion places they'll pass on their way home, it annoys me. It would be nice to have one day totally off. Since I'll already be in bed, they can heat up some sloppy joes and have some Fritos. That's as close to "a day off" as I can get.

I'd be telling them to grab dinner on the way home--that your kitchen is closed tonight!! ❤️

I had planned on having leftover chicken roll ups for dinner, but I was hungry and ate them already. Now I am not sure. The boy is eating dinner with his girlfriend tonight which means it is just me and I don't really have to be johnny on it just yet. But I may have a baked potato with veggies. That sounds pretty good, right?

Pork chops, apple sauce and probably broccoli/cauliflower again. He has dinner ready when I get home from work so I try not to complain much.

I have a microscopic amount of chicken left from a chicken I roasted yesterday so I will probably make chicken quesadillas today.

I'll probably have 2 other kids for dinner tonight so I figure I'll make something kid friendly. I just found a recipe for One Pot Tortellini and Sausage in Tomato Cream Sauce. The kids and dh can have that and I'll have sausage and veggies. Not very exciting I know.

I am boycotting meal cooking. I am tired of asking what people want for meals then having no one want to eat what is made. So I will have either leftover spaghetti or a bowl of cereal. They can fend for themselves.

Just put the Mississippi pot roast in the crock pot, on low to cook all day. DH is home now, he leaves for work later than I so he proudly manages that, lol.
Have to thank Kathy's threads here for that now family favorite recipe. Someone posted once that she was making that for her family dinner and out of curiosity I Googled it.
I've since shared that recipe with lots of friends, lol.

I think we will have Swai with some sort of potatoes and a vegetable. We have had beef the last couple of weeks since that was what was on sale so tonight fish sounds good.

Mexican casserole here - it has ground beef, kidney beans, and macaroni noodles in it, topped with ungodly amounts of cheese. Totally unhealthy but so yummy! I'll serve corn and a salad with it.

We're having pasta w/Knorr Creamy Pesto sauce. Requested by the kid who's been away for a while.
He was supposed to make it last nite, by got sidetracked by his grandfather's phone call. We ended up at the Moe's that just opened up in town. Our first time there. Not bad!
