I have one of those delightful Costco chickens that lucyg mentioned yesterday. So, I'm going to take it apart and make lemon chicken pasta. IMHO, it's the only reason to go to Costco, a store that I cannot stand going to for some odd reason. What's on the menu at your house? Have a great Friday everyone. Don't forget to plan at least one fun thing into your weekend. Even busy people are entitled to have a little fun.

Homemade pizza. I'll make the dough and the sauce. The boys can put the toppings on. Yum! I love getting them in the kitchen to help out with cooking and baking

I don't have a Costco close enough to bother joining so I'm roasting my own chicken tonight. Either mashed potatoes or roasted baby reds with confetti corn. I made brownies late yesterday so there's a sweet if anyone want one later while we watch the snow fall.

I'm hosting my ladies Splurge Club tonight so I'll be eating appetizers and drinking wine There will be dessert as well but I don't have a sweet tooth so I pass on that and just have another glass of wine I guess I have to cook something for the remainder of my family though They will be eating spaghetti with a red sauce made with fresh local sausages

"Høstsuppe" (autumn soup), with different kinds of root vegetables (not exactly sure what's in there, I found some chopped up vegetables in the freezer ), but I added carrots, potatoes and leeks. A sprinkle of bacon on top (almost everything is better with bacon) and served with flatbread (the Norwegian kind).

It's yoyo tonight for the first time in a couple of weeks. There are some leftovers that need to be eaten up. I'll probably have some taco chili.

I'm going to a 50th birthday party for a friend tomorrow and I know that her husband has ordered lots of delicious Italian food, plus there will be appetizers and I'm sure I'll consume several glasses of wine! So I'm planning on a light dinner tonight - probably a turkey burger (sans bun) and steamed veggies.

Diced chicken stir fried with Cajun spice and Philadelphia apparently!. DD and her other half are coming over and it was her suggestion so we'll cook it between us

This sounds good. I may have to try something like that. We will have leftover pizza (that's what we had last night).

It's pouring with rain here, so I'm planning comfort food. We're having chickpea and cauliflower curry with baked potatoes and I think I'll saute some kale to go with it.

The plan is to finally have Tuesday's tacos tonight.
It's on the menu at least every other week because we love them so much.
Stay warm and dry storm r-peas!

No Costco chicken for me, but I have a BJ rotisserie chicken and I'll make mashed potatoes with that. Cold and rainy weather calls for comfort food.

I have to admit that I always read what you are having for dessert first before I read what you are having for dinner!!

Yikes, this is my third post on this thread!
I think I may have to break down and cook tonight even though I never cook on Friday's!! I didn't cook on Wednesday or Thursday. We had fun stuff come up and it didn't require me cooking!!
Let's see...tonight I am going to make....soup and sandwich!! Yea, that's it!!

Got to remember "YoYo" night. We are have the rest of the homemade soup and probably a grilled cheese sandwich. It is unusally cold outside today for the deep South.

We went on our Family Date Night yesterday (Chik Fil A and The 5th Wave movie) so I didn't have to cook. But today I'm making Hamburger Sliders, Oven Baked Fries and serving a mix of fresh berries and whipped cream for dessert. There are still plenty of Snickerdoodle cookies, too.

That's funny that you are making a cauliflower dish ... here in Canada it is about $5 a head Luckily, my family hates it anyway Here's what I posted on FB today:

leannec , that's so cute! The kids both have stuff going on tonight. I am getting them Burger King - they are thrilled. While I really like the chicken, apple and cranberry salad, I am not in the mood for one. Instead, I will eat leftovers and enjoy my quiet evening alone while I anxiously wait for them to return safely home. Lisa
