I seem to remeber there's at least one pea in Wales. Maybe some English peas would know though. How do you pronounce Gwydir? As in Gwydir Castle?

Hopefully I can stay there some day. My Great Grandmother was a Wynn and my Mom has traced our family back to when the castle was built.

Thanks for the tag BarbaraUK - PolarGreen12 I live in Wales but I 'm not a Welsh speaker - I would pronounce it Gwideer. The i being pronounces the same as the i in is Maybe welshjenni can help?

I've googled it as I couldn't work out how to explain the pronunciation :-) and this is what a found, the syllables rhyme with "squid" and "beer"

my cousins in wales speak mostly welsh...kids learned english at school... I can't help though... I can kinda only pronounce some words in the famous hymns....
but then...the family is all from North Wales...very very welsh.
