My word! I am struggling to find a pair of jeans! I am 5' 11 1/2" tall and wear a size 6 or 8, depending on how the item is made. My inseam is 36" or 37", again, depending on how the item is made. Is it really too much to ask to be able to find a pair of jeans (Something fun and trendy would be a nice change, but I can't even find boring jeans!) to fit me? I would prefer not to pay $150+ for one pair either.
I would like to find a pair of skinny (not jeggings) or even straight jeans.
If you have had success, please share with me where you have found them!
I had some success at American Eagle and tried jeans on in store for sizing and ordered x long online only to be told they were out of stock and to keep checking back. Yeah, no luck! Oh, and that was after they charged my credit card and I had to call two times about it.
I sincerely appreciate any help you are able to offer!
Yes, my struggle is real! LOL!
Thank you in advance!!

I am only 5'9 but have long legs so I typically buy a tall size also. I buy a lot of my jeans and work pants from New york and Company. I also love the quality of pants at Ann Taylor but they rarely have tall sizes in stock at the store. Usually, I buy a size 10 but I think Ann Taylor runs bigs because I can wear a size 8 comfortably.
My coworker was complaining the other day that the pants she had were too long and they were a petite. I have the opposite problem! It must be nice to be like 5'5 and not have either problem!!

I am sort of in between standard and tall, but if I need tall, I generally have to order them online to have a decent selection. I just shop places that have easy free returns or that you can return to the store, order a boat-load of brands and sizes, try on at home, and return the rest.
I have found talls to be very hit or miss in brick and mortar stores, even if stores usually stock them. They might have my size but not in tall, and the whole thing is very frustrating. Online shopping and planning to return the majority is least frustrating for me.

I only tried American Eagle for sizing at the waist. I saw Alloy (Not the best, but I will take any option at this point!) has jeans with up to 38" inseams, but their shipping policies kind of stink.

I have that problem-petites often being too long. It is crazy, it seems like every one has issues with length (either too long or too short) and it makes you wonder if they are selling averages-who are the averages??

Who are the designers? They need to talk to real people!!!! The only thing I seem to find for my size are "mom" jeans. Not the exact option I want. Good luck to you!!!!!

Landsend (dot) com has tall inseams up to 36". Thank you so very much!!! Now I feel like I am being a complete whiner, but the jeans they are offering are not a flattering style. Please forgive the phrase, but they look like "mom" jeans. I apologize as I do not intend to insult anyone AT ALL!!! The jeans were even described that way in one of the reviews. I truly appreciate you sharing the information with me!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just as bad, I find that a lot of my choices in the stores are driven by buyers who think that petite is the same as older and don't even get the option of mom jeans-I get great-grandma jeans with elastic waists. I may be short, but am not quite where I want to wear elastic waists yet.

I also have a 36" inseam. My favorite is Long Tall Sally. Yes, expensive but long! New York and Co. Makes these pull on dress pants that are long. Eddie Bauer is hit or miss. I do like their trouser jeans. For work pants, the investments brand at JCP are good. I always look for the cuffed ones. And, I learned to hem pants so I can get that half inch extra.

I feel you. I end up wearing "mom" jeans because on top of the tall, I am also plus sized. I would have better luck finding a unicorn than I would to find decent looking jeans, plus/tall that aren't $100.

I only need a 35 inch inseam, and they're tough enough to find.
Try Long Elegant Legs catalog and Long Talk Sally. They have inseams up to 38. I've never ordered from there but I get their catalogs frequently. JJill carries some styles with inseams to 36

Vanity.com. They have inseams to 37 inches and they are cute and stylish. Lots of sales right now too as low as $22.00.

Long Tall Sally (catalog) has Silver jeans that are cut well and go to a 37" inseam. If you have Buckle (brick and mortar) you can special order longer inseams to 36" and 37". LTS sometimes has pop-up shops in bigger cities if you want to try them on in person. LTS also has a store in the Mall of America. Nordstrom stocks Paige premium jeans in longer sizes but they can be spendy.
I feel your pain: it's hard to find stylish jeans in anything over a 35" inseam. I don't know of any decent tall stylish jeans under $150 but I'm sure they exist somewhere. A good pair of jeans is well worth the splurge. Go for it! HTH!

I'm only 5' 8" but my legs are long, and I always have a hard time. I can't imagine how annoying it must be if you're even taller than that! My biggest pet peeve is that you walk into ANY clothing store and there is a petite section; but if I want jeans that are long enough I have to special-order them on line.
I have ordered from Long Tall Sally and been really happy with them. You know who sucked? "Not Your Daughter's Jeans." I paid a fortune for a pair of tall jeans from them and they shrunk so much the first time I washed them they became the dreaded "floods" I would never buy from them again.

I know you said you did not want to spend $150 for jeans and I was/am the same way however, I have gotten a few pairs from Buckle.com and love them. I have had one pair for 5 years and they are still in style (I think) and not mom jeans. There is a Buckle close enough for me to go to and I tried on so many pairs that were long enough which had never happened before.

Not sure if they are 'mom' jeans- but Diane Gilman-on HSN- makes skinny jeans in tall.

I'm 6' and need a 37" inseam as well. Ive bought quite a few pairs from alloy. They're cheap, and have fit pretty well, I've never had to return a pair, and they tend to last awhile. I may have to check some of these other stores everyone is mentioning. I've basically given up looking in brick and mortar stores...its usually a waste of time, and the pants they have listed as tall are only 34" inseam, super annoying! I'm dreading when my girls need jeans...my daughter is likely going to be taller than me, I feel for her and her clothing choices!!

I need x-short and even then they are sometimes too long, but have you checked Maurice's or the Buckle?

I just checked the Maurices website and they have 18 different styles in the x-long length (37' inseam from what I could see). They had the Maurices brand, Silvers and Vigoss. All cute. The Buckle also has several styles of jeans in 36 and 37 inseam.
