The chef is exhausted after a big day yesterday. So, dinner will be either tacos or panini, since that's as easy as it gets. Last night was pizza. What's on your menu?
Have a great Friday everyone. It's never too early to start celebrating the weekend. Enjoy your dinners tonight.

I hope that yesterday's vitamins have you feeling better soon, scrapmaven! Tonight's dinner will be leftover cottage pie and broccoli. I'm going to the grocery store Sunday, and hope to find some inspirational meals for next week. I want to try the cabbage steaks posted earlier this week, so I hope to find a nice cabbage.

Ive been having a hard time kicking this darn cold so I've been a real slacker dinner wise this week. Feeling a bit better today so I think I'll make 7 Layer Supper.
I need to catch up on laundry today so a one pot, easy dinner is perfect for tonight.

Depends on whether the boy is home for dinner or not. These days he is playing tennis, working out and running a couple of miles a day-he has requested as many carbs as humanly possible. If he isn't home, then I will FINALLY make the potato soup I have been craving. If so, then I don't have a clue really. Something pastaish probably. No matter what, I will need to go to Publix to restock the larder, because the poor kitties ate the last of their food this morning and I assume that by this afternoon they will be plotting my demise for their dining pleasure.

We had a turkey breast yesterday.. which I cooked in the crock pot .... so moist it was delicious. We had it with Stuffing and Mashed Potatoes. YUM. So lunch today is leftovers and we are at a party tonight... probably pizza. So no cooking YEA!!

Out of town basketball games for the boys tonight so I'll pack food/supper for me and the rest of the family will probably eat concession stand food (tacos, hotdog, pizza, etc.).

Crockpot again tonight. I'm making Chipotle Chocolate Sweet Potato Chili. It's another new recipe. I'm having a lot of fun trying new things. The prep was a little more time consuming than advertised, but I see how this would lend itself pretty easily to advance prep work. Now that I'm getting a good collection of healthy recipes we both like, I may start planning a prep day to make things easier during the week. In other news, I'm either extremely sensitive to grains or extremely sensitive to dairy. Since I added both back into my diet, my stomach hates me. I think it's the grains, so eliminating those again first.

I'm making pizza, cause it's Friday and that's what we do. I'm using this recipe from Mel's Kitchen Cafe for the crust. It's handy making the dough the night before so it cuts down on prep time tonight. The kids will pick their toppings, which will be pepperoni only. Even then, DD picks the pepperoni off because she likes the flavor it leaves behind, but not the texture. Weird child! DH and I will have mushrooms, peppers, onions and pepperoni on ours, with me adding some banana peppers for myself.

My brother was admitted to hospital yesterday so I'm solo for a few days.
I have a couple leftovers to use up, but no plans to cook, really.
He's about an hour's drive from home, so a lot of travel lends itself to grab and go options or cafeteria crap.

The rain has returned so I'm going to put the makings of taco chili in the crock pot later this morning. I've got lime, sour cream, cheese, avocado and tortilla chip strips for toppings. Yum!

Tonight we'e having a creamy chicken casserole with rice and roasted cabbage steaks. Oh, and a little steamed broccoli for the 14 y/o who won't eat the cabbage.
I made Snickerdoodles yesterday so that will be dessert.

Two and a half years after I qualified to collect late DH's Social Security, I am finally meeting with them this morning to start the gears in motion. (Yes, I'm an idiot. But at least the payment amount should be higher since I waited.)
All that to say, the Social Security office is located in a corner of the giant Costco parking lot. So you know what that means. It's chicken for dinner! Actually, I think I'll get a chicken for the weekend, and a pizza for tonight. Pizza just sounds good.

Leftover chicken from yesterday, pasta and a green salad. I'm craving something sweet, so I will find a cinnamon bun in the freezer later.

Dh will not be home and that always means I eat any combination of the following:
Tapioca, Brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes, lima beans OR...
a Taco Bell Mexican pizza.
Cannot wait!
