I was supposed to receive my 2 day Prime shipment on Wed (27th) via USPS. The tracking on Amazon says that if I don't receive it by tomorrow (30th) to request a refund or resend the product. The USPS tracking site has about 5 entries for departures and nothing else.. very weird. So I'm wondering if I call Amazon what is a good request for non-delivery and what's been successful for anyone? I'm thinking about requesting a month of Showtime add-on for my Kindle so I can watch Billions. What do you all think?

My options were to get a refund, have the item resent overnight or get a 1 month extension on my prime.

And sometimes life happens. If this were a regular occurence it might be different but if this is an isolated incident and it arrives within a day or two later then is there any harm. I don't understand why everyone is so eager to ask for something else as soon as something is a day late. Just my opinion. Sure it is an annoyance on some level but unless it was something that had ot be here on that particular date (and then I would have ordered it sooner anyhow) I would just see it as a blip. Is it possible that it USPS that dropped the ball in entering needed info? I know I have had things arrive where the tracking certainly wasn't there to follow. Overall for me, Amazon does a pretty greta job and I am still amazed at how fast they get the orders out.
I hope you are pleasnatly surprised and it arrives on time.

The first thing I ordered with prime was not delivered on time, either. I got the same email you did but my item came the day it said to contact Amazon for a refund. I'm mostly in the camp of "life happens" but was a little irritated that it was the first thing I had ordered with prime and it was more like 6 day shipping instead of two.

Just curious, where is it shipping from? The blizzard in the Northeast has slowed down some shipping.

If it is weather related they will probably offer to send another or cancel the item and extend your prime.
When it us an overnight shipment they typically refund the 3.99 and extend prime a month.

Everything I've ordered from Amazon Prime in the past 1.5 weeks has been 2-5 days late. With the blizzard then the subsequent impassable streets - they didn't plow our street until Tuesday - I'm fine with it. Airports up and down the east coast were closed for 2-3 days.

Winter happens. I would not hold Amazon responsible for what they have no control over.

I didn't get an option when I called, they just refunded the purchase price of the product.

happened to me, too. But they told me from the beginning it could be 3 weeks. It was an outside seller and the only one that was available. It never arrived. Got a refund promptly.

I have had them extend my Prime for a month. It doesn't happen often but it is usually something that you really need. Other items show up early. We live near a major amazon Hub so things usually show up early. Things that they know might not make it usually state that they will take longer at least for me.
