I am frustrated. I need a new pillow very badly and don't know what kind to get. I've always slept with the squishiest feather pillow possible. But I think it's time to change. I sleep on my side and use a full face cpap mask. I just don't know what to get. I heard something about custom pillows from Sleep Number. Are there really custom pillows? Any other ideas truly appreciated. Very frustrated and don't know what to do ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/mYSUyHtG9Jrcmm_ydVcK.jpg)

I like a very hard and cold pillow. I have a heavy soba kasu pillow which is a buckwheat husk pillow. It stays cool which I really like but there is nothing squishy about it.

I bought on the "As Seen on TV" pillows, called My Pillow. I like it for my 2nd pillow. My base pillow is a memory foam pillow, but I can't tell you which one without looking at the packaging. I had to try several before getting the right one.

I am a side sleeper, no CPAP though. I like a combo of pillows. I have a couple squishy down pillows and a couple firm down. I bought mine from Hilton because I love their pillows when I stay at their hotels.

I'm a side/stomach sleeper and I have gone through so many pillows! After trying memory foam ![](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/SCylSBljj3e3QKjxF2vn.jpg) and more than one type of alleged side sleeper filberfill pillows of varying cost ![](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/SCylSBljj3e3QKjxF2vn.jpg) , even a buckwheat hull pillow ![](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/SCylSBljj3e3QKjxF2vn.jpg) , now I will only buy down pillows. I had a down one from Select Comfort ($75 on sale a long time ago) that I liked for quite a while until the feathers got totally mashed together and the pillow got too flat. When I went to replace it the cost had gone way up and I'm cheap. Found another down pillow at Costco (set of two was about $60 or $70? Can't remember) and that's what I'm using now. I have one at home and the other one at the lake cabin. Those have been the best options for me so far. I haven't tried one of the My Pillows yet but maybe I will when the current ones die.

Another My Pillow lover chiming in! I got them on a showstopper special on our Shopping Channel. They also have them at BBB and you could use a coupon.

I'm a side sleeper with a sensitive neck (no CPAP mask though). My pillow has to be the right height and squishiness, otherwise I have terrible trouble. After much trial and error and countless $$ wasted on useless pillows, I've worked out that down filling is best - the higher the down to feather ratio the better. My favourite at the moment is a Hungarian goose down pillow (95% down, 5% feather), which is a medium pillow.
Apparently there are specific CPAP pillows which you might want to investigate?

I just have a *firm* one from walmart.. was probably $5..works great.
no cpap, but I do have harrington rods on both sides of my spin from top to bottom.
I also sleep with a number of pillows in the bed, I have one that is under my left knee if I am semi onmy back, if I am on my left side then that pillow is under my right knee, I also have one that I can snuggle up to if I am on my left side.. if I am on my right side the edge of the bed is right there, but I have mostly always slept on my left side and now make a point to for health reasons..

Bamboo shredded memory foam pillow
i have this one and love love love it. I got it last year for Christmas and asked for another one this year so that I could leave it at our camp and not have to lug one back and forth. It did take a little while for the smell to dissipate once it was taken out of the packaging. But once it does it is a keeper in my books. i guess it all depends on what type of pillow you like, this is one that kind of molds around your head. Growing up I was allergic to feathers and had to have a foam one. The only ones that I like were the ones with chunked pieces. I hated the solid ones. At one point they seemed to stop selling the cut foam ones and I was so bummed. My grandmother's brother worked for a mattress factory and gave her a bunch of foam. She cut that into pieces and made me pillows. She worked on cutting up that foam for a long time. Now that is love! Good of luck finding one you like. A pillow is a very important necessity in my world. Also Costco may have had the one I linked at one time, not sure if they still do. ETA: I am not a CPAP user though.

I have the buckwheat hull pillow as well and love it. I also have a down pillow from Ikea that I love. It's extra firm for side sleepers. My DH wears the CPap and has the same an likes it.

I'm a cpap wearing side sleeper. I prefer cheap pillows from walmart. Medium. I fold it roughly in half so it is more of a neck roll than a flat pillow. I put the fold up against my neck and my face (cheeks) on the side of the pillow just far enough to get my mask off the pillow but not have to work to balance my face in that position. Hope that makes sense.

I know many people love My Pillow. I wanted to like it, I really did. I bought 2 when they were the TSV on QVC about a year ago and could not make it work for me. I gave it many chances and thought I might get used to it, but no. I went back to a memory foam Perfect Pillow and that is what I use now.
My DH uses one of the My Pillows but then he could sleep on just a pillow case without a pillow and be happy.

I'm a side sleeper with a sensitive neck (no CPAP mask though). My pillow has to be the right height and squishiness, otherwise I have terrible trouble. My husband said that he thought his pillows had "broken down" and needed replacing. He likes a firm pillow and has used two together for as long as I've been sleeping with him. ![(rofl)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/rofl.png) So being the good wife, I bought him two new Ralph Lauren firm pillows -- those ought to be good, right? Well, fast forward two weeks... we thought he might be facing rotator cuff surgery! His shoulder was almost frozen, his neck was killing him, and his whole spine felt out of whack. He was in misery. Finally, a chiropractor he came across in the course of his day asked if he had changed pillows recently. Bingo! I grabbed the pillows off one of the guest beds for him to use that night and he woke up feeling soooo much better. In a few days, he was back to normal. Moral of the story? Be careful when replacing pillows! Especially if you are changing styles/types. I have always used down pillows. I replace one of the two I use each year. The newer one goes to the bottom and the older one becomes my top "squishy" pillow. Works for me!

I replace one of the two I use each year. I also get mine re-made from time to time. They clean the fill and replenish if necessary, then put in a new case. Cheaper than completely replacing.

I sleep on my side and I use a memory foam pillow from Costco that I love. In fact, dh bought one for himself after I bought mine and then both of my girls asked for them.
I also use a long rectangular sized pillow that I put between my chest lengthwise. I started doing that when I was prego and the girls grew and would flop around together and make me uncomfortable and the habit stuck. I find it comfortable to have that pillow in that spot.

I spent $100 on a memory foam pillow I think by Tempur Pedic. I don't see my exact one on their website anymore--it is taller on the sides for when you sleep on your side, but the middle is lower for when you sleep on your back. If that makes sense at all... It has good neck support and was worth every.single.penny. And that means a lot, coming from me. I am totally cheap. Like cheap-cheap. I won't spend more than $20-25 on a shirt or $40 on jeans, but I would gladly repurchase this pillow! No more neck strain/pain all the time for me.

Oooh. I have a cluster fill pillow and LOVE it. I've looked for awhile now and haven't been able to find any for sale. I just looked online and you are right, $9.98 for a two pack. Only $2.97 for shipping, so I think I'm going to order these. Thank you for posting this!
