that your bones hurt? I went out in the cold today (only 24 degrees) and now I cannot get warm, and all my bones hurt. I have fibromyalgia so I know the cold makes it worse, but I am inside now with the heater on, feet over the vent with socks, a blanket around me, and I am just dying here! I'm so tense from trying to stay warm, you know how you sort of tense up all your muscles? If I move, my bones just kill me. Ugh!

Yes, a lot.
Especially when I go to back to butte. My BIL's place just kills me.

Once my feet get cold, I'm in trouble. I went out in a jacket today at 14 degrees and that doesn't bother me but man, if my feet cool off, I'm screwed. I've been known to go take a hot shower just so my feet will warm up. Works too.

I will have to get in the shower when I get home from the dentist. Yes, I have to go out AGAIN. I am about ready to fire my dentist. I keep having to go in to have this crown recemented. This tooth has given me so many problems over the last 20 years! I don't want to pull it though.

I live in Michigan and have a son who plays baseball, so yes. I have also been so cold, I have felt nauseous. Warm up a sock filled with rice and put it on your feet. Heating pad also works. Or, take a warm shower.

No, not bones hurt, but once in high school I "burned" my lungs in the cold. I had a morning paper route and we were in a cold snap. I was out delivering papers at 6am in -15 degree (F) weather. The cold damaged my lungs so that it hurt to breathe for a few days and hurt to bend over for a week. No I didn't get out of delivering papers for that week. My mom told me to keep my scarf around my mouth and not to run. Hope the hot shower helps! It's miserable being cold.

Yes, but I live in The Great White North ... we can see temperatures of minus 25 celcius for days on end ... or even colder This year has been awesome though ... folks were out sitting on restaurant patios yesterday because it was so warm (plus 13 celcius) It doesn't take a lot to get Canadians excited

My husband says I have an acceptable temperature range of 5 degrees.

I hear you on the acceptable temperature range. I'm the same way. I sitting in a 70 degree room with a blanket right now. My arms are chilly.

Yes. I had to walk a couple of blocks in -38C weather this morning. My hands ached for about an hour afterwards. I was appropriately dressed, or so I thought.

I hear ya on being cold. Right now in Maryland it's 26 degrees F with winds at 13 mph. It's the wind factor that makes the cold so much worse. I don't have fibromyalgia but my sister does so I know how terrible it can make you feel. I do have hypothyroid and it's always been a bear to treat-right now it's acting up again. I feel the cold much worse than DH or DS who share the house with me.
My typical outfit IN the house is fleece pants, knee socks, long sleeved long underwear shirt, fleece jacket and knock off Ugg boots that I've had for 3 years. My feet have to be warm or the rest of me won't. In bed I'll wear long underwear long sleeved shirt and long underwear pants plus some alpaca knee length socks my sister got me for Christmas 3 years ago. These are the warmest, thickest socks I've ever worn. I put them on and my feet are instantly warm. They are amazing. You can find them online but check the reviews to make sure they are authentic. I highly recommend them.
This year I bought my fleece jacket (it's called a 100 fleece jacket) from Land's End on sale for 18.99 each. It was such a great buy that I bought two, and instead of being thin like I thought they'd be (you don't want a big thick one to wear in the house) they turned out to be a very nice weight, and very soft. Just right. My old one was so thin it was almost see through.
Hope this helps and that you feel warm soon.
Debbie in MD.

Just reading this makes me cold enough to hurt. And to answer the OP, yes. But it doesn't take much to get me there. My acceptable temperature range is a lot higher than most of y'all's.

It is going to be 14 here on Sat. with -14 wind chill. We have had a lot of cold winters lately! I often have to take a hot bath just to warm up. Or drink hot chocolate. I hate cold weather! I love 85 all year!

The coldest I've been was diving the North Atlantic, 100ft down in water that was 3 Celcius in a dry suit that leaked. I did 6 dives over a weekend in those conditions. It took me days to warm up.

Throw a blanket in the dryer for a few minutes and get it nice and warm and then wrap yourself in it. It feels amazing!

Yes. I grew up in the days when schools hardly ever closed because of inclement weather, and my mom didn't believe in driving us to school so we walked the eight blocks no matter how cold it was. Didn't have a backpack either, so I carried my school books back and forth in a plastic bag. I remember coming home from grade school once when it was so cold that after I peeled off my single layer knitted mittens I couldn't get my fingers uncurled from holding the bag until I ran warm water on them.

Yes - for me it is my fingers. They get cold to the point of pain and it has only gotten worse as I have gotten older.

Break out your blow dryer. When I get that cold I put the dryer under my shirt and on my feet to warm up more quickly.

My husband says I have an acceptable temperature range of 5 degrees. We always took the kids out for recess if it was 10* or above (and not raining/snowing or really windy). If we didn't, we'd could go days without seeing the sun. I can be out if it is colder, but need a good warm coat and hat. Several years with the wind chill it was -40 and THAT was cold.

I get that in my feet, probably due to poor circulation as I'm in California and not facing real "weather". I get out a heating pad and rest my feet on it. That helps. The vent not so much.

24 degrees? That would be considered a heatwave here. The postman would be wearing shorts and neighbours would be barbecuing!

I'm feeling your pain. It's currently 0 F here. I opened the door to let the dog out (I didn't go out with her.) and my fingers were numb. I had to take a hot shower to recover. I'm putting on my parka and mittens to let her back in. This is her favorite weather--definitely not mine. I'd suggest buying some heat packs to keep in your socks if it gets that bad.
