I just got my nails done yesterday and I didn't look at the name. It's OPI is a dark coral with sparkles. I have something that no where close to matches on my toes, Nicole If the Blue fits, and I have Sally Hansen's Mermaid tail on top of my big toes. I wanted blue on my fingers, but forgot I had it. I'm not worried about not matching

I've been obsessed with OPI's Russian Navy with a topcoat of OPI Which is Witch since late winter. There's something about the holographic shimmer on top of navy I can't get enough of. I get tons of compliments on it.

I love that Navy. I'll have to pick it up next time I'm at Ulta.

Sally Hansen Expresso is what I'm currently wearing. I'm trying to figure out which ones I want to wear for the 4th of July week.

I was in the mood for red, so have OPI "Underneath the Mistletoe" with the dark grey OPI "Baby It's Coal Outside" on my ring finger only.

This thread made me think of something that used to spark discussion amongst my friends whenever we went to the movies. Before the previews began, the theater that we attended always flashed random questions on the screen that were intended to keep the moviegoers from getting bored while waiting for the movie to start. My favorite question was one about fingernail polish: If you could only wear one color of nail polish for the rest of your life, what color would you choose? My answer was red. What would you pick? I'd choose either red or blue. Gosh, hard question, though!

The OPI Neon 2014 has a white base coat as a part of the collection for just that reason, to make the bright colors stand out more. They are the ones in the front row in the picture & it's called "Put A Coat On"...lol (ETA: if you click on the picture it shows you a bigger version) Attachments:

Also with OPI Cajun Shrimp on my toes. I need to get a pedicure next week before the 4th, so I guess I'll be changing it then.

I'm wearing Sinful Colors' Endless Blue on my toes. Nothing on my fingers at this moment. That is a pretty color and dupe for SH Pacific Blue Actually, it's not quite a dupe. The SH is just a hair paler and is dustier. I have both. I'm not sure if you're aware of the controversy surrounding SH's replacing the original formula PB with a darker blue with shimmer? I already had 2 bottles so I didn't get a back up, but lots of people have been rushing to buy up bottles of the original formula. Right now I'm conducting a wear test of the new Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy line that supposedly doesn't need a BC. Uses their new "Diamond" TC. It's only day 2 so we'll see.

I'm going for a mani pedi tomorrow. I'll be picking something red.
If I could only pick one color for the rest of my life it would be a dark red.

This thread inspired me to polish my nails. My 5 year old picked out the color. Pure Ice and the color is On His Saddle which is a very strange color for a pretty metallic blue.

Oh my gosh, I bought a bottle of Sally Hansen Salon manicure in a color called Rosy Outlook and I swear on a bowl of peas that it is THE BEST nail polish I've ever worn! I have had the same 2 coats on for 2 full weeks and my nails still look fantastic! It's super strong and the Rosy Outlook is a great bubble gum pink color for summer. It was $6-ish at Walmart, but I'm sold for life! I googled them and this blog talks about this line here: thebeautyofredroses.blogspot.com/2013/10/new-sally-hansan-spring-racing.html

No polish, but just put on some fresh jamberry wraps. When I figure out how to post a picture, I will post. My old ones were two weeks old and holding up so well, except for the grow out.

I am currently wearing Big Apple Red shellac on my fingers and the matching OPI BAR on my toes. Red works well with my skin tone. However, I am thinking about going teal or blue this time.
Would something teal or blue look ok on an OLD woman?

I wish I knew! Last time I need a pedi I went into a salon I had never been to and picked a polish and I love it! I didn't write down the name, take a picture or even remember what company made it. It is my perfect shade of pink too.

Those who do wraps instead of polish, what is the trick to getting them right? I've bought them from the store, different brands, and I never can get them to apply correctly. I'd like to try them and see if they helped my nails vs polish, but I appear to be wrap-impaired.

I bought 5 more bottles of Pacific blue for myself and 5 more and co-hosted a giveaway. Coral reef and Mellow Yellow also was changed. the formula of the new PB is crud. I did a PB swatch wheel for dupes. Nothing beats the original in color, formula, wear, and ease of use for nail art. I heard about mellow yellow, but coral reef too? Sally is a real bitch for that, lol. I'm not buying any more b/us though,I need to purge as it is.

I'd like to try them and see if they helped my nails vs polish, but I appear to be wrap-impaired. For anyone that wants the 411 on wraps, I am your guru! I sell and love them. When I get my custom wraps on this weekend I'll show you those! Shevy, a couple things, buy a rubber cuticle pusher from Sally beauty. They are inexpensive and are the single most effective tool you'll get. There is a difference between store wraps and Jamberry. Store brands are polish based which means they'll dry and chip like a polish. They are more brittle. They may even dry out before you get to use them. Jamberry is vinyl with a silicone adhesive. They'll never go bad. When you put on the Jamberry wraps, heat them for about 3 seconds and lay them down the middle of your nail and push them outward. Smooth with the cuticle pusher. Give it another blast of heat for about 6 seconds ish and smooth them again working from middle to outside. Don't overlap them onto your cuticle! Also, Think of Jamberry the same as a vinyl phone screen protector. The vinyl absorbs the shock of jarring them.

I have China Glaze Tiffany Blue on my toes and some sort of pink on my nails that will be coming off soon. I tend to do my toes in blues and greens.
