I can't resist a good heart or star die cut shape, stamp, sticker, or paper but they are pretty versatile and I usually find a way to use them.
Lately though...birds. Why do I think I need bird stamps, and die cuts? I don't even like birds.
So are you weirdly attracted to anything random recently?

for a while I loved timepiece or clock stamps. every time I saw one, I bought it. I just loved how they looked all timeworn and vintage.
now I'm drawn to vintage typewriters. I bought one so I could do some journaling and it just grew into a collection. I have about 12 in different fonts/typefaces. I'm particularly drawn to cursive typewriters. unfortunately, that's much more expensive than collecting stamps.

Polka dots. I have an irrational love of anything with polka dots on it, and pretty much anytime I see anything with polka dots on it I have to have it. So I have a crazy amount of polka dotted patterned paper, cardstock with embossed Swiss dots, dotted embossing folders, polka dotted flowers, buttons, brads, ribbon, you name it. If it has dots on it, odds are pretty good I have it in my stash!

arrows and feathers - I got pictures in the mail of my nephew and I can't wait to scrap the pics, but I picked up more arrows and feathers thna I could use in an entire album much less a few photos.
I'm on the hunt for lightening bolts which are very elusive.

Snowflakes and stars. And I am loving a good fox. My dog looks like a before picture of a fox on a WW poster.

Keys. Cutting files of vintage keys. I have yet to use any of them yet but I cannot resist them. LOL

Me too, literally can not help myself when I see something with polka dots even if I have 20 different variations of pink and white polka dots I will still buy more. I am also partial to anything with hearts and star stickers.

Hearts, stars, houses, all those primitive shapes.
And big blown out cabbage roses that aren't in style, or compatible with teenage sons.

I have a whole room full of random purchases! I have birds and feathers for sure. And I like stripes when I see them in the scrapbook store, but then when I am making a page I find it hard to work with them.
And I seem to have collected a lot of insects: butterflies, bees, dragon flies. What's with that?

I love all things "nature," like wood veneer and cork, obviously. But it goes further. Puffy stickers of leaves? Yes. Feather die cuts? HECK yes. Anything with a bird on it? YESYESYESYES. Even when my layout has nothing to do with the outdoors.

She uses stripes a lot on her layouts and she always manages to make things work.

They are perfect for making masculine layouts and they also make great eye catching borders.

I'm on the hunt for lightening bolts which are very elusive. lightening bolts would be great to have. Keys. Cutting files of vintage keys. I have yet to use any of them yet but I cannot resist them. LOL I love vintage keys too. I think I've only used them a couple of times back in the early 2000's. ha. I've stopped buying, but I drool over them still. And I like stripes when I see them in the scrapbook store, but then when I am making a page I find it hard to work with them. Multiple colored stripes are my kryptonite, I ended up tossing most of them the last paper purge. I find hearts, stars, circles/flair, arrows, journaling labels, doilies, and tags necessities. My random items are ones that symbolize each person in my family: DH - acorn/bird, DS - dragon (star when I can't work it in), DD - owls (or birds/butterflies).

And random stuff.....I love chandeliers! Difficult to use on layouts (I mean, I just can't see myself using a chandelier on a outdoors-y layout, or a horse-y layout (with the possible exception of scrapping DH's trip to Vienna, including the riding school there)), but perfect for cards!

I have 2 Create a Critter cartridges and I think the images are so cute! I try to think of ways to use them on my teens pages, which really doesn't work.

Oh my gosh, I have seen that pair on FB, but I had no idea they had so many videos. I love a good animal friendship. When I was in junior high I put my mouse and guinea pig together in an aquarium and the mouse would sleep on top of the guinea pig at night and in the morning he would clean the guinea pigs eyes. It was so sweet. My mom kept telling me how special it was, but I just thought animals would get along when put together.

I am so glad I am not the only one who loves random things. I don't think I have anything normal in my art room.
I love birds, especially flamingos. I can't resist Eiffel Tower items. I have a large butterfly collection. I love feathers, seashells, lighthouses, & elephants. I love polka dots too.
950nancy- I love your scrapbook layout.
