I'm trying to out a dinner plan. So many choices. So little brain cell. I'll see what everyone wants and go w/majority rules. Perhaps chicken tortilla soup or not.
What's on your menu?
Have a wonderful Tuesday.

I have some salmon thawing, I'll probably pan fry it and serve with rice and edamame.

Probably the classic spaghetti and garlic bread. We have it often. Do you find yourself repeating the classics? During the school year, I have a pretty small dinner rotation. No energy or interest in trying something new after a full work day.

Chicken Tacos tonight. I don't think I have the usual seasoning mix I use, so it will just be taco seasoning - cheese, lettuce, salsa, onions on the side

Got things to use up so it's going to be pork sausage, bacon, mushrooms and homemade chips (thick fries here) followed by fruit trifle.

Ham and Navy bean soup with cornbread.
It's been an interesting 8 days for us. I'm doing a pantry challenge, trying to use up that misc stuff in the corners of the pantry, which should help us save a little money for spring vacation.

I am going to be baking my son's birthday cake and treats today. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream Cake with a Whipped Cream Frosting and Fruity Pebbles/Rice Krispies Treats. So with all that baking I am going to make something super easy for tonight's dinner. Kielbasa and Cabbage. My house is going to smell super weird today!

Yes, and my family complains ... but trying new things isn't easy either ... really, you can't win can you AussieMeg has a thread going every week where we list new recipes that we have tried ... I've been a total slacker and need to really be a better participant My problem is that my dd's hate almost everything with flavour

SO's daughter sprained her finger yesterday at school, so spending time at Urgent care last night did not get us home until 7:40. We stopped at McD's. I may do tacos tonight, just because it's easy.

BF is grilling burgers. We'll likely have roasted potatoes and a green salad with them. I might sneak some steamed broccoli onto the table.

I bought some small flour tortillas at the grocery store over the weekend, so I'm going to make Lentil Tacos tonight. I think I had planned to make these last week, but for whatever reason, they didn't get made. We'll have cheese, salad and salsa as taco toppings, and then I have some leftover rice that I think I will transform into a quickie version of Mexican rice.

We're having a tangy-saucy pot roast, gravy, noodles, roasted brussels sprouts, cauliflower, and carrots, applesauce, and Italian bread. For dessert, they can have the Valentine's dessert that is still untouched.

it's probably going be Chipotle since it's next door to Costco and I have to go there after dinner. I still like chipotle even after all the stuff in the news.

You are clearly a better person than I am -- I would be pretty p.o.ed if I went to the trouble of making a nice dessert and no one ate it for days.

I think I am going to go with chili. Turkey chili to be exact. Quick and easy because I'm already tired and not home from work yet.

Today is "bag day" for the high school robotics team my husband mentors. That means their robot has to be "in the bag" by midnight--totally finished, no more tinkering, it goes in the bag and isn't touched till the competitions start.
So needless to say, I'm not planning on seeing him till late tonight. So I'm indulging myself with some Trader Joe's frozen mac & cheese for dinner. It's so goooood!

After freezer cooking yesterday, today's going to be simple; sauteed chicken breast, roast potatoes, lima beans and a green salad. I think there's some leftover chocolate cake for dessert.

Smitten Kitchen Oven Braised Beef Roast w/ tomato and garlic served over egg noodles, broccoli and pear salad. I cooked the roast yesterday afternoon/evening and it smelled delicious.

Tonite it's chicken nuggets and mac & cheese. Probably the classic spaghetti and garlic bread. We have it often. Do you find yourself repeating the classics? During the school year, I have a pretty small dinner rotation. No energy or interest in trying something new after a full work day. Oh, yeah. In fact, we have a rotating schedule w/some things. It's pasta every Thursday. 2 weeks it's one of the Knorr sauces, 1 week it's just straight tomato sauce & 1 week it's some form of baked (lasagna, baked ziti, etc.). And it's mac & cheese and either hot dogs or chicken nuggets 3 out of the 4 weeks. I need a little break, so I throw something else in the mix that 4th week. Saturday is usually pizza, but I'm staging a revolt and will be cooking something else at least 1 nite a month. My family is so into their favorites, that when they ask what's for dinner, if I'm trying a new recipe, I have a certain look I give them and they know. They then sigh and say in that dejected tone teens get, "What is it . . . ". It's become a ritual, lol.
