So, I purchased a kit to crochet Lily Pond from Wool Warehouse when they had a sale a month or two ago. I started it over the weekend. I needed some further explanation on one of the blocks, so I looked up the designer's website - her name is Janie Crow/Jane Crowfoot (differences between her name on Ravlery and her blog). It is fairly complex but beautiful! Anyhow, she has a newer afghan on her website that I decided that I MUST make - Persian Tiles It it is made with Stylecraft DK. Her website sells kits of Stylecraft Life DK - 12 balls of yarn. Great, I thought. Put it in my cart and it says that I earned free shipping - even better! But, I guess that is only in the UK, as at checkout my cart had a £17.99/$25 shipping charge. Um, no. I decided to just buy the pattern - which isn't available for download - just paper copy - and still had to pay £3.15/$4.40 just to ship that. Now, she doesn't list the colors in the kit, and I don't have the pattern yet, so I look around the Internet. I found another UK site that had kits for the blanket, but they wanted even more for shipping - £19.99! The good news is that they listed each of the colors in the kit and how many balls of each. I went over to Wool Warehouse and put all the balls in my cart, and not only did the yarn end up being less than the kits being sold at other sites, shipping to me was only£2.99/$4.17! I love Wool Warehouse!

Wow that really is beautiful! Do you mind sharing the list of colors? I need a new project. This is the list for Persian Tiles - Stylecraft Life DK - Copper (2312) - 1 Stylecraft Life DK - Cream (2305) - 2 Stylecraft Life DK - Cardinal (2306) - 1 Stylecraft Life DK - Aqua (2357) - 1 Stylecraft Life DK - Teal (2416) - 2 Stylecraft Life DK - Daffodil (2394) - 1 Stylecraft Life DK - Navy (2313) - 4 You have to buy the pattern from Janie Crow's website, however, there is no download - which makes me sad. I prefer to keep my patterns on my iPad and print them as needed.

Love wool Warehouse and love the persian tile pattern. Please let us know how it works. I may make that for my SIL It really looks fairly basic, especially compared to Lily Pond. Persian Tiles is much less 3D and I think will go much faster! I will update as I move through it.
