Welcome to monthly Sketch/Scraplift challenge! Each month, I will post either a sketch, or a LO for you to lift, or draw inspiration. Here is the LO SCRAPLIFT challenge for March: Lisa Dickenson- Paper Strip Layers Soooooo, here's my take, FINALLY. It seems a lot busier than her's, since I used a dark background, and put the title over the paper strips, so I'm not super crazy about it, but I did it! As you know, in scraplifting/using sketches, your LO's can end up looking exactly like the inspiration piece, or you can let your creativity run wild! These are just jumping off points to get you rolling. Have fun, and link your LO's back to this thread so that we can all see your piece of art and give you some lovin'! admin , please add to the master list. Thank you!

I ended up making a layout very close to the challenge photo. I would never have layered papers this way, so it was fun! link

I am so curious about the "UP" in that layout! How did she make them? Are those a product? Fussy cut existing paper? Silhouette print and cut? I have to know!

ellewood and KikiPea, I found this posted on her blog below the layout. "The title is a mix of a die-cut and oversized letter stickers from MAMBI. They are perfect for short titles and monograms and the sketched/hand-drawn look is casual and fun. I tucked my typed journaling into the space to the left of the title using the antique typewriter font, Type-Ra." Lisa Dickinson So I think the UP is made with MAMBI stickers.

I just finished this one. Had fun with weaving in the background pages. No sewing, but I DID take out my long unused crimper to give the gold cs strip at the bottom some texture.

KikiPea Thank you for posting your challenge each month. I am always excited to give it a try. I usually end up doing something I would not have done on my own.

What a great layout! I love the yellow crimped strip. I have lots of corrugated paper I don't use much.

Here is my version. I actually scraplifted mikklynn 's layout more than Lisa Dickinson's. It was really fun to do. I've never woven paper on a layout before. I also haven't stitched on a layout for a long time. A Sweet Treat by Nylene Budge, on Flickr Thanks KikiPea , for hosting this.
