I complimented a friend's cute shirt last week; she told me it was Lularoe, and that she'd add me to a FB group. It's a Lularoe buy, sell, trade group, and it is hopping busy all day long. I am telling you there is some crazy shat on there! Lots of people selling their clothes for way more than they paid; others complaining about that, it's not fair, more others saying shut up, don't buy them, etc. Lots of whining and complaining lol. I am sort of amazed at what people will pay for some of their leggings and dresses in particular. And some of the leggings (octopus, dream catchers, etc) are interesting to say the least. I think some of the stuff is cute but mostly overpriced knits. Are any of you crazy Lularoers?

There have been a few threads here over the last month looking for various patterns of their leggings. Maybe 30 years ago I probably would have been interested, now at 52, not so much.

I have a FB friend who posts about it constantly. She sells it. I had never heard fit before this, and have no interest in buying!

I have a friend that sells it, and I love the leggings! I only have one pair so far, but I'm planning to get a few more. They are so soft and comfortable! I also like the Randy's, and have 4 of those.
That is crazy about the FB group! I had no idea!! I might have to look for another group to find more patterns of leggings, but no way would I pay more than what they sell for!

Not my style at all, so I wouldn't be interested in buying anything.

I have an Irma and a classic tee and like both. The leggings aren't my style but the Irma top is really nice and looks good with solid leggings.
The fabric is okay and I doubt I go nuts buying stuff because I think it's s little overpriced for what it is, but the patterns are fun and I get a lot of compliments on those tops.

I have no idea what this brand or style even looks lik. But I'm not who it's geared towards since I'm not a trend follower at all.

I saw a cute pair but I just can't justify the price tag. I can afford it, but I can't justify it.

No- give me solid black leggings. Now, my youngest DD would be all over those crazy patterns if she could afford them.

I am in a FB group and haven't seen any of that. I also haven't purchased anything. I have a few pairs of solid leggings for my self that aren't Lularoe, and primarily joined the group in case my teen wants something. She basically wears nothing but leggings.

Another reason I am not a cool kid. I had no idea what Lularoe was until now.

Well now I want to join that FB group Haha! It's called LuLaRoe Swappers - the first group that pops up with 38K members (which I suppose explains how busy it is and the level of drama!). Lots of husband talk also- hiding it from him, ain't no man tell me what to do, etc!

I have quite a few things but I didn't pay an arm and a leg for them! The buy/sell/trade group that I've seen can get a little nutty. People sell leggings for $100/pair! I wear the more mild patterned leggings and I like the dresses and skirts because they are comfortable but decent enough that I can wear them to work. Plus, it's nice to be able to shop from home, know what size I need, and have it delivered in a few days. I also like the Randy baseball tshirts--I've always liked baseball Ts though. I have a couple friends who sell it but no one is too aggressive or annoying. I like that there are fun patterns in comfortable styles that I can wear to work. Before I got my skirts and dresses, I was wearing black or gray pants, a colored shell top, and a cardigan. Now I have outfits that have pops of bright colors but are still comfortable enough to wear all day. I swear I'm not a sales person! I just really like the stuff that I've gotten so far. ETA--OMG the husband posts! People post pictures of lots of packages and discuss how to hide deliveries from their husbands. Another topic that drives me crazy is the people who post that their husbands absolutely will not allow their young sons to wear the kids leggings.

I do think many of the items are cute. The posts I like are showing how to mix and match patterns, how to dress items up, how to wear the same item in different ways, etc. Ask, why can a large just not be a large??? Everything is oversized?

I've heard they only make 1,000 of each item. If so, genius biz move. Reminds me of Studio Calico back in the day.

I've never heard of it and just checked their website. Can't see what the fuss is really, it goes to show that by making something "exclusive" there will be people clamouring for it. It does remind me of the Studio Calico ridiculous stuff that went on.

Does their facebook group contain a lot of debates on whether leggings are really pants and/or are modest? I checked out their website and saw the very modest temple dresses.
LuLaRoe appears to be a direct marketing company. You have to "schedule a pop up boutique" to purchase their products. That might be why the Facebook group is so popular.
I don't think that adding a small fee to the cost of a product to compensate the seller's trouble is unreasonable. If you don't agree, you don't have to purchase. People love to bitch and argue anyway.
I'm not a fan of the Facebook format for conversations, so I probably won't check out their page. I doubt that their "discussions" can hold a candle to the NSRB.

I have not seen any LulaRoe around here, but I did just recently learn about a Lululemon resale Facebook group. Somebody was selling a pair of leggings that were discontinued a couple of years ago and described them as barely worn with the crotch showing 'slight fuzzing'. I know it is just what happens to the cotton when it is washed, but that description - eww.

I'd buy some leggings in a heartbeat if I could just BUY them and not have to jump through all the hoops.
I'm not going through all that foolishness for leggings.

I've heard they only make 1,000 of each item. If so, genius biz move. Reminds me of Studio Calico back in the day. It's true, and the consultants don't know what they are going to receive - it's typically ONE of each. I'm in a few FB groups and the consultants often have online parties, where they post pictures of what's up for sale. While most of the patterns are a little wild for me, I will admit - I found a pair I wanted (paw prints) and paid a little more to buy them off of eBay using the Buy it Now option, but not too much more. It was worth it to not have to go into a bidding war and to not have to stalk some FB "party" to find them.

I don't like any of it for myself. But if I wound up with any, I'd be okay selling it at above its original price.

My dd and her friends love this company. I agreed to host a "party" for her so she could earn her "happy pants" (her words for the wild leggings.)
Paying extra for a specific pattern? No freaking way. they are clothes. Just clothes. who cares if you have wolf heads or elephants on your pants? I prefer the dresses and baseball t's anyway.
