Apparently everyone agrees minus one person who stopped by our sale yesterday. Does it look like 10 dollars or 10 cents?

Looks like 10 dollars to me. If it were 10 cents, I would expect the "symbol" to be AFTER the number, not before.

Since there is a dollar sign in the appropriate position it is ten dollars. If it were 10 cents I would expect to see the 10 with the cent symbol after it.

I don't see how that could be interpreted as anything but ten dollars.

It's unmistakably 10 dollars. Don't let one person who doesn't know symbols bother you.

Does the person who stopped by know what a $ sign is? I'm not being rude, but it couldn't be more obvious.

What was their reason for saying 10 cents? It's clearly $10 to me.

What was their reason for saying 10 cents? It's clearly $10 to me. Probably because they were hoping to get something for nothing. This is why I have only ever done one yard sale and will never do another. I couldn't believe how people wanted to bargain for something that I had marked as $1.00 or .50 cents. sheesh... And OP, as others have said, it's clearly $10.

$10 = ten dollars $.10 = ten cents 10¢ = 10 cents
Unless there is a decimal that I'm not seeing, that is clearly 10 dollars.

It's clearly ten dollars. It's ridiculous and unreasonable for anyone to think that bag of beads/jewelry would cost ten cents.

I don't see how that could be interpreted as anything but ten dollars. This, exactly! The person who thought it was 10 cents must be a nutjob.

The price definitely says $10, but I might question that price at a garage sale. Not because I can't tell what it says but $10 seems high for a few beaded bracelets.
