Hi ladies! We are having coconut curry chicken with rice, roasted cauliflower and applesauce. I'm also making honey wheat bread.

I'm not sure if I'm dining alone or not, lol. My guy might be meeting a griever after work and if that is the case I will probably make one of the single serving chicken pot pies I keep for situations like this. He doesn't like it so . If he is home i'll probably make a few of the single meatloaves I made and foodsavered last night with baked potatoes.

I am sad to say Dh is making Chinese pie. It's not horrible just not my favorite. I'm not feeling great anyway so I may skip dinner and go to bed really early. Is there any tweak that you can work out that could change the recipe to make it better to you? Hope you feel better soon! The only way to do that is to make it myself! He's retired and I work so he cooks. I sure won't starve to death! Thanks...I have a weird area of discomfort that feels like gas (sorry about the TMI!)

lucyg that's funny about your rice mix up! I can see that happening, the bottles look similar. How was it? Gross? No, actually ... it didn't taste the way it was supposed to taste, but it tasted okay all the same. We added some actual soy sauce when we figured it out. The 6yo complained with every bite, but ate two bowls of it. ETA Trixie Benderha ha ... soooo not funny. okay, it's funny.

I would have eaten that fried rice, lucyg. And likely, also, have done that myself and not even realized it. We are having baked white wine and herb chicken, stir-fried broccoli WITH SOY SAUCE, salad, and sourdough bread. Thanks for the thread.

We're going to have meatloaf cupcakes. Meatloaf made in muffin tin, homemade mashed potatoes as frosting.. Will make roasted veggies to go with it. Also some homemade chunky applesauce if anyone wants it.

Homemade chicken nuggets, potatoes and green beans. But breakfast for dinner sounds better.

DD chose the menu: French Onion Noodle Casserole, roasted green beans, cauliflower, and shallots, steamed carrots, blueberries and pineapple tidbits, and Italian bread. Since the dessert standoff is over, may I respectfully request that you go back to telling us what dessert you're serving with dinner? I always look forward to hearing about your desserts every day!
We have leftovers of a couple of different things in the fridge, so that's what it's going to be tonight. Boring but necessary.

I had planned to do chili in a bread bowl, but since it's 80 degrees today, we're just going to do sandwiches on Artisan bread instead (though I hate running the oven when it's over 65 degrees out).

Easy dinner tonight because I'm headed out to yoga. Salmon and wild rice. I cook and DH cleans up.

If you're Facebook friends with me, you may have read last night's news already: I accidentally made the chicken fried rice with Worcestershire sauce instead of soy sauce. =sigh= No clue about tonight. The 6yo stayed home from school with a tummy bug. I guess chicken soup or something else that will go down easy. On no, poor guy Hope he feels better by Friday!! Does he have any special birthday plans?

I pulled out cod, but it's not what I want at all. I will be making chicken fried rice with it! With soy sauce. That sounds much better. But the boys need additional protein, so cod it is. I need to go to the store. We didn't have broccoli last p.m., so I will definitely fix it tonight. I will probably make a dessert later tonight to make up for the cod because they probably won't be super happy about cod. I am not sure what. I am leaning toward peanut butter cookies. Lisa

Because you asked, tonight's dessert is peanut butter oatmeal sandwich cookies and brownies. It's nice to know that someone is interested in my desserts even if my family occasionally is not.

Crawfish Boil without the crawfish or as know on the Food Network "Low Country Boil". We had cornbread with our. It was good and spicy.

I'm late to the party today, mainly because we just decided what to have! lol Wild cod was on sale at Safeway so tonight it'll be baked parmesan cod, tater tots, and either green beans or peas.

It is just me tonight, my husband has a work team building event at a restaurant so he's eating there. I will probably have quinoa with kale, red peppers, onion, and grilled chicken breast.

We went to Steak n Shake because of a coupon we had. Double Steakburgers, fries and chocolate shakes for two for $10. Can't beat it.
