You're nuts. Who doesn't like an extra hour of daylight in the evening? That's when DH and I take time to go walking on the path, and he never gets home early so I really look forward to the time change. Plus, I'm not really a morning person.

The days get longer anyway, on their own. Waking up in the dark on Monday is going to be miserable.

The person who promises to do away with daylight savings time. Seriously! Me too!!!!! I hate any time change. The older I have gotten, the worse it is on my body. I am so sleep deprived from being in the hospital with my daughter that I have NO idea how I will deal with this change tomorrow. It's going to do me in! Ugh!

I don't get why this antiquated tradition continues. I read that California is trying to stop, hopefully if they get it stopped other states will follow. Are we the only country that does this? I am not looking forward to readjusting again this week.

The candidate who doesn't send me more than one mailer. One is enough. Two per day from the same person is ridiculous. If you have that much money to waste, you are in the pockets of too many people.

I can appreciate the extra hour of daylight in the evening, but I really need that daylight in the morning. It is much harder for me to get up when the sun isn't out yet, and that contributes to my winter blues. For me, Daylight Savings Time is a double kick in the pants. Just when the I start seeing some morning light at the end of the winter tunnel, Wham! the sun is back to where it was a month ago, and I lose an hour of sleep on top of it. Evening sun was a bad thing, too, when DS was little. He also has sleep issues, and it was a real trial for us when the sun was up past his bedtime. I couldn't afford blackout shades, so I ended up taping something heavy and dark over his bedroom windows, which I really really hated to do for a variety of reasons.

I like Daylight Savings Time, although I dislike losing an hour - especially this weekend when I have an extra busy week ahead, with lots of meetings and some longer than normal days. I'm not a morning person, so getting up is always a pain, doesn't really matter to me when the sun comes up. I wouldn't mind being on DST all year.
I, too, would like to get rid of the multiple mailings, arriving every day, from and for the same candidate. There is a whole lot of money being spent on gigantic glossy cards touting one guy and bashing the other. The robo calls don't get through our call screening system but I've heard the phone chirp a lot more often in the last week or so, which tells me there is a call that's not coming through. Our primary is Tuesday, so they should all end soon - at least for a while.

I am not looking forward to readjusting again this week. No lots of countries do. When I lived in Cayman we did not it was a royal pain because so many other countries do!! I vote for doing away with it.

I am not looking forward to readjusting again this week. We are definitely not the only country that does this. I think most European countries do it as well. My brother's fiancé lives in New Zealand – and they do it. But I think they do it to coincide with their summer, which is (of course) opposite of ours. I think it's stupid.

I think research shows that it's bad for us all…

I get up so early for work it is dark no matter what time of year it is. I prefer DST because I'm not falling asleep on my couch at 7 pm. I enjoy the light in the evening. I have a gradual light alarm to help me wake up in the dark, it is nice to wake up to every morning.

I will vote for the candidate....
That enacts the no more daylight savings. I prefer it stay lighter outside until 8:00pm-ish. I like to walk in the early evening, but I won't walk in the dark.
Makes a law, that all the "think they are better than everyone, I'm entitled" 21+ items offenders in 20 or less quick checkout line, can be made to go to the very back of the longest line.
Can lure Steve Perry out of retirement, for either a concert tour or concert residency somewhere.

I don't mind DST in theory but I swear whoever thought it up didn't have young kids. I dread having to wake the kids up an hour 'early' and in the fall it's not like you can tell a baby/toddler 'hey, we get an extra hour of sleep, it's too early!'. Not to mention bedtime when it's still light outside.

The person who promises to do away with daylight savings time. Seriously! YES!!! Hate feeling jet lagged twice a year.
Note to decision makers: Changing all our clocks and schedules does NOT save any daylight!!! The amount of daylight stays exactly the same!

I HATE daylight savings time - always have. I hate it even more now that I work at 4:15am. It takes forever to get used to, and getting up at 2:45 am makes it even worse. I can't make myself sleep any sooner for a while, so it's hard.

I'm in California and I really hope we do away with it. I don't care if we have an extra hour of light in the morning or evening, just quit flipping the clock around. Pick one and stick with it! The days lengthen naturally anyway.

Move the time 1/2 an hour and never change it again.
All next week I will be dragging my kids out of bed in the morning, then in July and August they won't go to bed because it's still light out at 10pm.
I will gladly ship someone my cranky non-morning loving 11 year old free for the next week so you can see what Daylight Savings means in our house. It is not pretty.

I agree. I hate it. Pick one and stick with it. All of this back and forth is bad on our bodies and doesn't make any sense. The sun will rise and set when it does.

We are 11.5 hours different from India... why that half hour? They had the brains to move time half an hour and stop the nonsense.

I prefer the extra hour of daylight in the evening so I'm ok with doing away with it - if we STAY on daylight savings time all year round, no going back to standard time (or as I like to call it - real time / fake time)

I would rather have it darker when I am getting ready for work or at work than when I am off. I love it lighter in the evening. We live in the foothills and when then sun goes over the top of the mountains it is dark.

My family (husband and 3 kids) are so much more energetic, productive, and happy when we start DST. We love it! We don't worry about losing the extra hour of sleep because that happens so often (date night, holidays, kids activities, etc.). And we are just giddy when it's light out at 9:15pm! My husband suffers from depression and Seasonal Affective Disorder. He does so much better once we start getting more daylight, and when we hit DST, that helps even more. (I hope I am explaining this well! If it makes no sense, I apologize!). He uses a dawn simulater (something attached to his light that turns it on slowly in the morning) to help him get up in the morning.

My vote will cancel yours out. Not that I drag more items into an express line than are allowed, simply that I categorically oppose express lanes altogether.
