Glad to hear he's okay!! That same thing happened to my DH once. He was sweating, chest pains, pain in his left arm...his co-workers called an ambulance. We are very glad they did, but it ended up being GERD too. He wasn't very happy about it because he did have to spend the night in the hospital while they figured out what was going on, but I am very glad they called. Better safe than dead!

Better safe than dead! we found out very quickly that at the local hospital we went too, they have a system in place for chest pain. You do not wait in the waiting room, you have an EKG within 10 minutes of arrival, and the 3rd step (If the EKG shows ANYTHING AT ALL, I can't remember the name of it) within 60 minutes. He felt like his head was going to spin off with all the attention he was getting, so many questions, labs, iv's ~ They take chest pain very seriously, which they should. I was extremely grateful for many reasons that day.

Thanks for the update. I'm glad he is seeking treatment and that it wasn't his heart. Me too!!! He's stubborn when it comes to going to the doctor, he always feels like all they want to do is "put a bandaid on it". UUUMMMM . . . . not with chest pains Mine always said, since before we were married, to not pester him (he has asthma). He would let me know if he needed help.
And he has - twice now.
(I still pester though lol)

They didn't stop in triage or anything else, just rushed her straight to the table. She coded on the table. (she's fine now, but a minute later and she wouldn't be)
