I'm going to the dr tomorrow! Now that that's out of the way, has anyone had mild/medium bleeding with mild cramps early in pregnancy (~5 weeks) and not ended in miscarriage? This is my 4th pregnancy, and I've experienced spotting and implantation bleeding before, as well as mild bleeding that taped off over the course of the day, but not this. I know it's super early, and miscarriages are very common this early in pregnancy. Just kind of freaking out.

I did with DD. I bled off and on all through the first trimester. When they took a good look at my placenta, it was over my cervix (placenta praevia). But luckily it moved by the 5 month ultrasound and I did a VBAC with her. She's 16 now and smart and beautiful and sassy!
Take it easy today. Some drs say it will help, others say it doesn't hurt. But at least you know that you did what you could. I said a prayer for you and the baby!

Just wanted to send hugs your way and hopes for a safe continued pregnancy. Put your feet up and try to stay calm until you know more. Easier said than done I know.

Hugs and prayers. I bled almost the entire pregnancy for both my kids. Had to go on bed rest until bleeding stopped. And then bed rest for last month or so of pregnancy. Delivered two very healthy babies!

I did with two pregnancies. I was a bit further along-about 9 weeks. Please update us after your visit tomorrow. I hope it is nothing to worry about!

I did at 9 weeks with my youngest daughter and several times throughout the pregnancy. The sac was pulling away from the uterine wall creating small tears. I thought for sure that I was having a miscarriage but my girl is now 14. take it easy and try not to worry.

A friend bled off and on with both of hers. They are both in their 20s now, healthy and happy. Hoping for a good report from your dr. tomorrow. Also hoping you can sit back and kind of relax today, easier said than done I know.

Yes, I did with DS. Started cramping while walking around the store, then bright red bleeding, not a ton but scary enough. US still showed a heartbeat and the bleeding tapered off to brown and was completely done in a week, and he was born quite plump and healthy. I hope all is ok for you.

Yup. I started bleeding around 5 or so weeks and bled until 12 weeks. I had a subchorionic hematoma. I had cramping, although it was mild, and quite a lot of bright red bleeding. My son is now 6 and he and the pregnancy had no further complications. It was so hard to be calm with all that bleeding. Stay off your feet if you can. **Hugs**

My complications came late in my pregnancy (all was well, he's 20) so have no advice. Hugs and prayers that it's nothing serious.

With my miscarriage, my first at 11 weeks, I suddenly felt not pregnant, then I had a little bright red spotting over four days. Woke up with mild cramping and passed a fetus and placenta into the toilet.
Second pregnancy no issues.
Third pregnancy had a full-on normal period then carried a normal pregnancy to term. Yes I know I was pregnant when I had that period. I know the date of conception even now and we stopped having sex fearing another miscarriage. No more bleeding after that.
All that to say I had a little spotting lead to miscarriage and a lot lead to a baby. Hope yours turns out ok.

I bled with all 3 of my babies. I had blood clots in my uterus. It sounds worse than it was. It would just bleed out to lit resolved itself. Babies are 5, 3 and 8 months. But. Scared the crap out if me each time. Take it easy today!

I'm sending you hugs and positive thoughts. I had bleeding with my daughter, but I was past the early weeks. It did stop. I just took it easy for a few days. Take it slow and rest!

I experienced bleeding in the first trimester. At first it was light, but frequent and then one night it was more like hemorrhaging. I thought it was over, but thankfully my little guy was still there. As another poster mentioned, it was placenta previa. I went on to have a healthy baby. I hope that is the case for you. Thoughts and prayers!

Hugs & prayers! I had cramping with my first, and some mild bleeding with my second, but not at the same time.
A friend of mine, though, had moderate bleeding off and on during her first pregnancy, to the point that once the baby was born and she could relax, she jokingly complained that she had been pregnant and still had to deal with periods.
I hope all is well and stays well for you.

Big hugs and positive thoughts, please report in whatever the doctor says,
Any bleeding I've had during pregnancy were miscarriages, I had 1 mc, a DD, 1 mc, twins mc and ectopic all at one time, just had a little boy. I,m done done done, getting and staying pregnant is too stressful for me!

I had experienced two early miscarriages so when I started cramping and bleeding I thought I was having another miscarriage. It resolved in a few days and I remained pregnant and delivered healthy twin daughters at 38 weeks.
I don't know why I had that early bleeding incident. It sure made me anxious especially because of my previous miscarriages.
I hope everything turns out well for you.

I had a + test on Oct. 25 and on the way to work on about Nov. 7 passed a lot of blood. Everything looked fine at the doctor and we saw the heartbeat. A week later, the same thing. I don't recall cramping. All was well. He's about to turn 9 in a few months.
Sending positive thoughts your way!

I had early bleeding, not really heavy, but more than spotting and no cramping. I was about 8 weeks, and went on to deliver healthy twins.
Hope all is well with you and your baby - please keep us posted!

Me. I bled (mostly spotting) on and off my whole first trimester. He was born 2 months ago, perfectly healthy!!
Hang in there, and don't make any assumptions, even though your heart wants to, to protect yourself.
((Hugs!!))
