Mine would just skip eating if he had to work that hard. But he doesn't always eat his breakfast either.

Like hop, my dog would just pout until food was provided in a regular way- he also looks at us like we are daft when we throw a ball. But I have an obese cat it may be fun for, she needs more exercise!

Hey gryroagain I thought I had the only dig in the planet who doesn't inhale his food and ask/look for more. I could leave his food bin open and he would walk right by it.

One of my dogs would love it! The other two would probably starve first.

I have a corgi who has a tongue to rival Gene Simmons. It is like flypaper. He eats in about 7 seconds and then stares at the old dog who munches slowly. His jedi mind tricks do not work. I should try this. I dog sit a pup who gets his meals out of a ball that he has to roll and the pieces come out very slowly. He is a pretty good soccer player with the ball though.

Wow, that feeder is nuts! Our new(ish) Plott Hound is a kibble inhaler. I was worried about bloat with her, so we got her this one: Outward Hound BowlIt's really slowed her down...our old-man dog even finishes before she does

I use a ball that my border collie rolls around, picks up and drops, to get every peice of kibble out. I have a few different ones but she has a favorite and does bring it to me at dinner time. I have thought of the feeder Patter has shown but never got aroubd to getting one. I really don't know how Bella would do with it. We did borrow a feeder that spun and had flaps that had to be uncovered and that simply made my dog anxious and she would finally pick up the entire device to shake it. Dogs can be so funny AND smart. I would say anything that helps the dog slow down his/her eating has to be a good thing.

We have something similar for out German Shephard. It has really helped her to slow down and not inhale her food.

I have that exact feeder for my cats. One would eat too quickly and then throw up. This has really helped and he's only thrown up a couple of times since we bought a set of the feeders. They're easy to wash, too.

We use a Buster food cube for our Australian Shepherd. He loves it. It is noisy though as he usually makes several rounds through the house to get all the food out of it.

We already have bowls that slow down their feeding. I am looking for a bit of mental stimulation too. I think this will do it. They are extremely smart and need lots of challenges. This looks like the most challenging feeder I have seen. My two other dogs would not like it at all. This if for the rough collies.
