I saw the preview for this series a few weeks back and was intrigued (and I need something to help pass the days until TWD comes back!). The day we got back from vacation last week I was flipping channels and caught the middle of episode 3. Watched it and then went and downloaded HBO GO so I could catch up. I'm loving the series so far and can't wait to get some things figured out - I have so many questions! Is anyone else watching? What did you think?

We tried. The first episode was so awful we didn't get 15 in into it. I'm glad someone is enjoying it.

I watched the first episode, and about 15 minutes of the second one. I gave up. My husband is still watching it, although he thinks it is just ok.

We watched the first episode. Thought it just ok. DH said he doesn't really like it. Going to delete I think. Just not that into it.

I watched the first two episodes and haven't bothered to watch any others. I just didn't find it that interesting.

I'm watching but I think I'm done.
It's depressing.
I feel like it's one of those shows that is trying too hard to be weird and in their quest for weirdness they are never going to answer any questions about any if the mysteries they have set up.
I don't find any of it interesting enough to keep investing time in it.

DH is watching. It looked interesting in the previews, and I barely made it through the first episode, and ended up more interested in what was going on on Facebook (nothing, probably ). He says it's ok, Sunday night's episode was pretty rough though he said.

I am. I have tons of questions, and I hate not knowing what things mean. I am having a hard time keeping interested, but I will stick it out. LOL!

Huh, DH and I both are really enjoying it - kind of surprised at these responses! I hope that's not the general consensus and the show doesn't get cancelled before a second season -I hate getting into a show that ends without me getting any resolution!
Yes, the beginning of Sunday's episode was awful. Very hard to watch that part.

LOVED the book. It was so good, but the show? Meh, I think I'm going to stop watching it. I fast forwarded through this week's episode, I was bored with it.

I read the book when I saw the series was coming on. I LOVED it also! They are changing some things in the series I am not really enjoying watching it like I hoped I would.

I watched the first two episodes and haven't bothered to watch any others. I just didn't find it that interest. I tried. I just couldn't stay interested in it. I couldn't stand the police chief (her language was over the top - really!) and I hated all the killing of the dogs.
I was going to give it a watch on the 3rd week, just to see but it didn't record properly so I decided that was a sign and I stopped watching it.

I'm done. I fell asleep watching the last episode I was so bored. I was excited to see Chris Eccleston (the 9th Doctor!) and that episode he was in was the best episode in my opinion. I don't think we will ever find out why the event happened in the first place and most of the people are just so unlikable.

In the book, you never find out what happened. It's more about the characters and how they deal with their lives/move on after the event than what the actual event was. (I love this spoiler feature!)

I watched the first two episodes and tried watching the third but turned it off because I was bored. HBO usually puts out pretty good shows and I needed something new to watch but I don't think this will be it.

I agree with the person who said none of the characters are likeable.
All the characters are the same. Everyone is sad and angry and pathetic. It's hard to care about anyone when they're all the same.
Everything is grungy and depressing.
Nobody wears nice clothes or makeup.
It's exhausting.
I've never been disappointed in an HBO show before, but I think they have a real clunker here.

My husband watches it, and was telling me about it yesterday. Even he finds it depressing though, and I'm not sure how much longer he'll stick with it.

I have read that they are never going to tell what caused the people to disappear. I am a bit leery because this is from the creators of Lost which really disappointed me at the end. I hate the chain smoking cult and most of the cast is unlikeable as somebody said here so it is tough viewing.

I was but then got bored with it after the 2nd episode. So it sits on the DVR. DH may want to continue with it. Not sure.

I really, really wanted to like this show but I find it over-the-top depressing and sad. There are no bright moments in the series at all. I loved the show LOST and I was hoping this would be a replacement but I can see that it won't be. I don't "care" about any of the characters and that makes it harder to watch.

I made it through 2.5 episodes and got bored. Now if we're never going to get answers, I don't really find the show all that compelling.

DD and I made it through 2 episodes and decided to take it off the dvr schedule. For all the reasons above, just not worth the time.

We slugged thru the first episode and then we both said "no more" ... Mr. Aniston can't save it, nothing can save it. What has happened to writing and acting? Sadly they're in such short supply it seems these days.

I watched the first episode but the gratuitous sex scenes were over the top for me...I'm not at all a prude, but HBO is so ridiculous sometimes in the things they do just because they can. Teen house party with straight sex, gay sex, oral sex, group sex, choking with masturbation, and no one can even shut the door? Good lord. Add to that the general depressing tone and I just wasn't interested.

I just deleted my season pass for this. I'd rather record and watch The Strain than this drivel. So disappointing!
