I am 4 days out from a hysterectomy. The boys are in charge of dinner tonight. We are having French toast and turkey sausage and bacon, and I think scrambled eggs.

I was at M&Ms this morning and picked up a package of barbecued ribs. So that's what we'll have. Along with baked potatoes or something. And a salad. We had those ribs a couple of nights ago ... the tangy ones ... sooooo freaking good I always buy them when they go on sale

I get the smoky flavour because DH doesn't like too tangy.

I had the day off, you'd think I would make something great for dinner, but I ended up doing absolutely nothing today! Loved every minute of it, too. Since it's snowing, and rained ALL morning, I ordered pizza delivery. I'm not going out in that! Lol

My fridge is full of chicken stock and corned beef cooking water (which = broth for making split pea soup). So I think I'll make chicken noodle soup tonight and maybe freeze the corned beef broth. If I get to Costco, though, there's no telling what we might end up eating tonight.

I made stuffed red peppers, Quiona and our usual, roasted broccoli.

We are having chicken curry, rice and popperdums and there is mandarin jelly for dessert. I love that you always do dessert and I haven't had mandarin jelly since my girls were little! I'm doing Shepherd's Pie. It's wet and cold and miserable so I feel like a hearty 'stodgy' meal tonight. Now you have reminded me about Shepherd's Pie, I'm going to put that on the menu tomorrow! Sounds good! Thanks! DS was here for dinner and mandarin jelly is his favourite dessert so I make it every so often. No-one here is all that keen on sweet biscuits etc., even chocolate ones, but do like a dessert at dinner so it's something we have always done.

DS was happy then! We had pancakes last night...since I've pretty much stopped eating sugar we usually have just fresh fruit but I made pancakes for Dh and I had one with some raspberries. They're even better with chocolate chips and raspberries as my DD does them but that's not allowed so raspberries had to do
