DD was sized at Soma as a 32DD but she has 32D's from Maidenform that fit her fine. Her prom dress has tiny cap sleeves but is beaded all over the top The back is sheer with beading. She said she can try to go without a bra but I know her (she even sleeps in one). The back will be visible (even with a nude one). I see there are clear backed strapless versions of bras but they don't go up to DD and very rarely can I find a 32. No one believes that she is a D or DD when I tell them but she is. I guess it is because she is so tiny.
What other options are there? What about those silicon ones? Are they worth it?

dd's friend is the same size and she wears both converter bras and the adhesive ones. My dd is a bit larger and we found some dresses yesterday where she can go braless and some she cannot. Depends upon the engineering of the dress

My daughter used the silicon ones. She liked it, so it was worth it.

I just found on Soma's site that they have the ones with the adhesive and in a DD. I am leery that it will hold but Soma has a great return policy. The only downside is it is $44 for something that she will probably never wear again! She said she would try the hollywood tape to see if the dress held up but the beading is quite heavy and I doubt it is going to hold.

I'm the same size and went braless this summer at a wedding because the dress was lace in the back BUT-the dress had cups built in. I felt awkward for the first few minutes and then was fine. Actually, I was quite freaking comfortable!!
Perhaps she can get cups sewn in the dress? It might be too late with the prom coming up, but might be comparable in price to the bra.
Share a pic when she's all dolled up!!

no advise but lots of sympathy - DD is a 32DDD and one of her criteria for picking a fancy dress is that it either works with a bra she already owns or she can wear it bra-less.

my worry about anything stick on would be that she's at a dance & will probably get sweaty - will they hold???
do they even still make those low back bustier style bras that I remember having under my wedding dress? would that work or is the back too low for that?

Just want to say that sometimes I'm a 32 D and sometimes I'm a 30 DD and no one ever believes me. Cup size goes up with a smaller band size. I also wouldn't go bra-less, but I've had two kids . I'd walk dd into nordstroms or specialty boutique, I'd take the dress with me, and just let the associates take over. Paige.

My daughter was in the same position at prom time. She is a 32DD and she also sleeps in her bras. We went to the bridal shop and got her the glue on ones. This wasn't our first choice but no other bra fit right with ehr dress. She was surprised at how well they held. The worst part was removing them because they stuck so well and even then, a minor discomfort. So many of the strapless bras just don't offer enough support.

I'd look for a longline bra. She'll be more in her comfort zone, there won't be any chance of modesty issues, etc. Plus wearing a bra will make the dress fit better and the low back of the bra shouldn't show with her dress.
Or would it be possible to have a seamstress sew some cups into the dress?

Cannot wear the stick on ones. I ended up in a long line bra for one of my formals. I'd for sure try to get the cups sewn into in actual dress!
