Dd was at a birthday party and had a hena design put on her hand. It's pretty, although it's been a week and I'm already tired of looking at it. Next weekend she has a dance competition and was told that if it wasn't off she couldn't dance. The artist had told her it lasts 8-11 days. She is on day 6, the competition is in 8 days, and I'd like to start getting it off. Any ideas?
Paige.

Exfoliation? Maybe a sugar and olive oil scrub?

I googled how to remove henna from hands and there were several suggestions.

Exfoliation? Maybe a sugar and olive oil scrub? The olive oil/sugar combo should help, or baby oil - let the oil soak into the skin for a minute or two.

Just st do sugar scrubs every day. I would think it will. Be gone in 8 days. Mine never lasts that long.
How big is it? Like full hand mendhi? In the rare chance that it isn't off, makeup or band aids.
(Seems like a silly thing to not let them dance, no? Maybe because I have Indian family, the kids are always covered in it. Hell, come summer wedding season, I am always covered in it too.)

At least it is not a real tatoo.
Make her wash the dishes every night.

I saw a mixed media video this week and the person was saying that this stuff called Amodex Ink and Stain Remover was great at taking stuff like alcohol inks off. I think you can get it at Wal Mart.
