What works in progress have you got happening? For me-- the design wall features a scrappy improv pieced panel that will become a tote bag for a friend. And I've got my year-long committment to the 365 Quilt block Project, which I'm mostly caught up with at the moment -- 3 blocks to do this weekend to get me back on track. My sewing room looks like it's been ransacked-- I'd rather create than organize, and it shows. I'm moving to a smaller room later this spring, so I'm procrastinating on culling and careful curating that will have to happen to make everything fit nicely in a room that's roughly half the size I enjoy currently. I've got a couple of niece/nephew graduation quilts I need to finish up the binding, but, procrastinating cause the one is a complicated scalloped deal and the other is just boring. So-- don't leave me lonely and overexposed. Let's see some pics of what you're working on.

Your 365 is gorgeous!
I have two in progress -- first is this pattern: sewfreshquilts.blogspot.com/2015/01/stepping-stones-quilt-block-tutorial.html in the right/negative setting done in white backgrounds with a bunch of blue batik fat quarters. I have 4 blocks done right now. I think I have a total of 36 and will probably end up with 5x7 blocks. They are 10 inches each, so lots of small 1 inch pieces that I haven't done since my very first quilt when I restarted quilting in 2005!
Second is what I am calling a modern wholecloth --- using 108" gray fabric...it's not traditional where it is all mirrored...instead it is free form and I am on the step where I am doing the fills right now. I hope to get a lot done tomorrow and Sunday...then it goes on DD#2 queen sized bed.
I have the top and backing done for DD#2 and will start quilting as soon as I finish the modern wholecloth....
I can't remember if I posted the modern wholecloth but here is a pic before I started the fill:
I also added some blue flying butterfly type bugs:

I just finished quilting two large quilts and am hand sewing the binding down on one. I machine quilted the other one. No pictures yet but glad they are done. RST - I love your 365 day quilt. Great colors. Luvspaper - the background fill is the most time consuming part. Have fun.

Memory quilts. I had five total. Just have two left to put borders on, quilt and ship out of here. So looking forward to getting rid of them. Then I want to make one for myself. I went on a retreat a few weeks ago and cut out for a quilt for myself. I love to see, just need to do my own stuff for awhile.

I just finished two baby quilts and gave them to new mommy last weekend. I'm in the middle of quilting a Pine Trees Quilt (MSQC pattern) that my two sisters and I made together, all different fabrics. I'm halfway finished but quilt on my DSM so I have to turn my quilt around to do the other side. I have to work on it again...it's been a few weeks now.

The quilt shop called today and said DH's birthday quilt (the airplane one) was ready to pick up. I had them attach the binding, so all I have to do is whip it down. Will pick it up tomorrow maybe and work on that this next week. Plan to post a picture when I get it finished.
I'm debating on which quilt to piece next and think it will be my Stash Bee 2015 blocks. It's a modern quilt - wonky cross in grays and yellows. I'm just using the blocks, no sashing, so it should go together quickly. After that I'll piece the Stash Bee 2016 blocks once they all show up. This year I chose the Union Jack block in grays and reds.

I'm working on the rainbow rails quilt now and previously finished the blue and green oversized Ohmigosh quilt (I don't have a photo of the whole quilt but I took a picture of a few blocks next to the rainbow version I made of the quilt a while back. I've taken a break from quilting to work on some crochet. I'm finding crochet more relaxing than sewing.Attachments:

I have a flannel scrap lap size quilt that's basted and waiting on me to decide what quilting pattern I'll do.
Lots of hexagons in a yellow fabric and a solid white fabric that I'm hand piecing. I'm going to make a Cal King quilt with the hexagons though it won't be a traditional or scrappy grandmother's pattern. Crazy I know.
Some of my running friends are coming over next weekend for a quilting day where I'll be teaching them to make a nine patch quilt. Just bought three prints for that.

Not a quilter, but am the daughter of one! My DH & I have worn out the first quilt she made me 12 years ago. This week we went shopping and planned my new quilt. Loving the fabrics we finally picked out, it will be a batik fabric quilt with browns/blues/tans. Can't wait!

I just finished a tote that coordinates with a quilt I'm giving a friend for a retirement gift. Now I'm binding another quilt I made for us!

I had an injury in January that made it impossible for me to quilt for the last 8 weeks. Just this week I decided to try and have been able to finish two blocks for a block of the month quilt I'm working on (and very behind on). It felt so good to be quilting again, I almost cried! I have to work slowly and can't sew for hours at a time like I did before but I'm so happy to be able to do SOMETHING. Before my accident I was in the process of choosing fabric and a pattern for a new quilt for our bed. Anxious to get back into that. I love seeing what you ladies are working on!

I am hoping to finish cutting and then get to work on a baby quilt, for my boss. It will be low volume with a few pops of coral, and mint green in a Pinwheel pattern.

I'm learning to freemotion quilt, on a baby quilt I made from a Craftsy kit. I'm having a hard time figuring out how to get the bobbin thread through the Quilt to avoid bird nesting. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Do I need to put a regular sewing foot on to do this and then put the darning foot back on?

You should be able to just turn your handwheel toward you to bring that bobbin thread up just like you would normally do. Then proceed to free motion quilt. Is that not working for you?

I just finished an "I-Spy" quilt using the apple-core die cut from Accu-Cut and I have to cut the binding on the bias due to the many curves.
I also finished piecing a Tonga Batiks quilt & that is ready to go to the quilter for long-arm quilting.
My package containing a kit for a Judy Niemeyer Marine Compass quilt needs to be picked up. That will keep me busy for awhile.

I've got three major WIPs right now. Creating a large, totally improv and wonky medallion quilt a a gift, working on a baby quilt for dd's first friend having a baby (due in May) and working on the improv quilt I'm making as part of an effort my local MOd Quilt Guild does, making quilts for the kids aging out of the Foster care system (also due in May). I have had health issues for the last month and haven't been doing any of it. Soon, I hope. Love seeing and reading about what all of you are doing! rst, Thanks for this thread. And your sewing "mess" has nothing on mine!

My DGS loves the kids TV show Paw Patrol. He has a stuffed dog from the show, Chase, that he sleeps with at night. He wanted a quilt for Chase and himself. I just finished the little quilt for Chase and just need to finish the matching quilt for Gabe (DGS). I have several other quilt tops that need to be made into quilts. Just need to find the energy and time to baste them.

I've just started quilting and really had no idea the rabbit hole I was getting myself into! I just finished a very small doll sized quilt to practice on and feel like I'm ready to move to something larger. I walked through the fabric store today and left without anything because it was quite overwhelming. Would any of you be willing to share your favorite on-line resources?

Lovestocreate -- Missouri Star Quilt Co has great, beginner friendly video tutorials, weekly specials, daily specials, and nice customer service. Their prices are quite good too. I personally use Green Fairy quilts as my source for precuts, and I also follow Fat Quarter shop on Facebook as they have a daily deal with deep discounts that sometimes is a match for what I am looking for.
Since the fabric shop felt overwhelming, my advice would probably be to pick a tutorial from either the Moda bake shop or Missouri Star -- one that's listed as easy or beginner friendly. Then pick a fabric line where you love the colors and buy a pre-cut pack to go with the pattern you chose. Be willing to make something that won't be perfect, but you'll learn a lot in the process, and presumably have fun doing it.

Keep it as simple as possible and use pre-cuts. My first quilt was made with a layer cake and it made it much less stressful. Pick fun fabric, a simple pattern and then go for it! And come here if you have any questions. The quilting peas are very generous with their knowledge!

This is my first ever real quilt. I have made several rag quilts in the past but, I wanted to give a real quilt a whirl. This is the jelly roll jam quilt a free pattern from the Fat Quarter Shop. Everything I have learned about quilting has been from You Tube!
ETA... Geez that picture is scary big! I need to learn how to resize.

I haven't made it further than the Moda Bake Shop and Missouri Star because they have so much great info. Missouri Star has some excellent videos, too. I'm going to try a pack of precuts I think and just get a basic cutting kit (mat, rotary cutter, and ruler). Trying to decide between the Fiskars and Olfa.

Another option is to find a local quilt shop and take a class. That way you know how much fabric to buy and have someone walking through the steps with you.
