I've been meaning to order from Zoya for a while, and I'm finally going to do it. --I love nail polishes--especially blues--but I thought I didn't like colour on my finger nails. I also adore my Dior nail glow, so I wear it all the time because it helps my nails grow super strong, fast, and keeps them from peeling/chipping.
Earlier this week I got a wild hair and decided to paint my fingers with OPI Get Your Number midnight blue with glitter and covered it with a few coats of Essie's gel top coat--not a fan of the sandpaper texture of sparkle polish. I don't normally paint my nails dark, unless I get a manicure. I suck at painting within the lines, get them all done and think they're dry and then dent the polish on 3 nails and have to take the polish completely off, and my most hated is when the polish peels off when I'm cleaning the extra polish around my nails off.
I saw a tip about putting elmer's glue on the skin around your nails and let it dry so the polish smudges peel right off. I didn't have elmer's glue, but I did have Modge Podge. The glue did peel right off, but sometimes it peeled all the way into the fingernail. I do want to try Elmer's glue. I have also heard about vaseline, but I have enough of a problem hanging onto the brush/only painting my NAILS, so greasing my fingers doesn't sound wise.
I really appreciate your suggestions. Other than blues, I love mauvy taupes, oranges, shimmer/hologram (I do like some glitters but prefer shimmers because they seem more mature and not something my 6 year old niece would wear), and sheers. I am definitely getting their french manicure kit sampler. How are their topcoats? I really love my Essie gel topcoat--even more than my seche vite.

I really don't like the Zoya polish I have, unfortunately. I have a light blue, orange, and yellow I bought for spring two years gaol the colors always look streaky to me even after multiple coats. I don't have that problem with other brands I use.
I have been using the drugstore gel polishes that don't need a light and have used the gel top coat with pretty good success lately. I also bought sally Hansen cuticle remover liquid and the cream that was recommended here and think my nails look better and the polish doesn't stick to my skin as much. When I am done painting it I go back with the rubber end of a cuticle pusher that I dip in polish remover and clean up the edges. The rubber seems to give me decent control so I don't rub the polish off my nail. .

I loooove Zoya.
Do a search by color. I always Google the colors I am considering. I find good reviews and swatches in various lights. That helps soooo much.
Since you don't like texture, avoid pixie dust.
And they have sales often. Try a couple but hold out on a big order. They usually do one in spring for Earth Day. The specials usually work out to half off.
Their polish remover is excellent.
Have fun!!!!

Jana is my all time favorite. It's a purple/gray.

I just painted mine with Lillian. I have over 200 Zoyas, and it's my favorite brand. I think their colors are amazing, and their formula the best I've tried. Having said that, I do find their pastel colors a bit streaky... It usually takes me three coats. I do have very ridge-y nails, though, so that might be a big factor.
Some of my other favorite blues are Neve, Sailor, Charla, and Dream.

My favorite Zoya is Ryan. It's a dark blue. I've got it on now and will just touch it up tomorrow because it will go with my Easter outfit.

My favorite blues are Muse, Remy, and Sailor. My favorite Zoya color of all is Sailor.

Vaseline works like a charm. I put it on with a Q tip and then when my polish dries I just rinse it off. No greasy hands to worry about. Plus it moisturizers my cuticles while it's on.

I was going to suggest trying at least one pixie dust because they are so unique but if you don't like texture you will hate them. One of the main things I like about them is how easy it is to touch up the polish since it's textured. If I get a chip a couple days in it's super easy to fill in and you can't tell.
I usually buy and wear the shimmer and glitter polishes so I haven't tried many of the cremes. My favorites are: Muse (glittery blue/turquoise), Charisma (bright pink/purple), Talia (teal), Wednesday (light green), and Chita (pixie dust green).

I do really love the OPI glitter I'm wearing now and am not opposed to glitter and textures. I really like Deborah Lippmann's glitters--they're pretty and cute but grown up at the same time. The glitters I don't like are the twee ones.
I'm not a fan of pastels most of the time, they don't look good with my colouring.
I've never had good luck with Sally Hansen--the polishes peel right off my nails no matter what base coats I use.
I have also wondered about the quality of Julep and Butter. I really like the Dior nail glow, so I think I'd like their polish, but they're so expensive I'd only buy one in a shade I love and would use all the time.
Thanks so much for your suggestions!

Zoya glitters are fantastic. They're not gaudy, just subtle and gorgeous.
I haven't ever tried Butter, but I hate the Julep bottles. They tip over while I'm trying to paint my nails, because they are tall, skinny, and top-heavy. I had like 4 or 5 that I never even took the wrap off of because I hated it the one time I used it.
