I used these for both kids albums and now that I need more they are nowhere to be found! . I used to stock pile them from ACM with a coupon. Do they no longer make them? If so, what is comparable? Thanks. Jill....who has years and years of books to complete so needs many albums!

I think that is another company that has been taken over by American Crafts. If you check their website, you may find the familiar albums. I stocked up a few months ago, but it seems my LSS now has them back in stock again.
I also use Recollections albums from Michaels.

I talked to WRMK at CHA and they swore there was absolutely NO delay in producing these albums on their part. They said perhaps the companies who usually stock them just aren't ordering them or as many as before. Granted, that was in January. Things could have changed since then.

I hope not! Their albums always seem to hold up the best for me. I want to say I saw some CHA photos of albums that they were going to be releasing. They were cute too from what I remember!

I love these! I tried using some recollection ones from Michael's but after I took one out to put more layout in the metal binding part was completely broken from the spine of the binder. Now I don't know if my kids were rough in looking at it or someone dropped it without telling me but I had to put all the layouts into a new album.

Now that AC has parted ways with Studio Calico, are they finally going to make 9x12 albums a regular thing I can buy in stores? It is about time!!!

I really hope it's in the works for at least a competitor (you never know if a non compete clause could go both ways). I surmised recently that we aren't seeing the 9x12 page protectors (even as inserts) from anyone (We R Memory Keepers and Simple Stories are big names for albums/page protectors...SS more so in 6x8 sizes, though...WRMK could be in a non compete, but SS shouldn't have that problem) because they have to get working on albums, too, and they likely take longer to develop. I'm really hoping for this. I have one album and a few packages of PP that I got for a really good price and I'm going to use them for my 2 day Disney trip (yes, we took that many pictures, lol) last October because I can't commit to using them for PL or anything without risking having to switch later in the year. While I'm okay having one year not be the same as the next, I'd prefer them to be uniform within the year and I'm not paying their prices for more product. $9.49 for a single set of page protectors tells me they know they have a monopoly on the market for them.

I want so badly for another company to make nice wide 6x8 albums. I beg Simple Stories constantly to widen their spine like they did with last years Christmas album, but maybe I should start bugging WeR too. It'd be awesome to get some of WeR's albums in a 6x8 size, they really are awesome quality.
Talking about albums gets me so frustrated these days.

That album sold out just about everywhere and was also featured in the Gossamer Blue December Memories kit (that I purchased on sale since I'm still not even halfway with my DD album). It was wildly successful. I think they'd be foolish not to consider it, but I hope they come out with a faux leather version. Raw chipboard isn't my thing and I'm not usually one for decorating album covers.

I completely agree - I think it'd be so smart, especially with everything going on with SC, for SS to start producing wider 6x8s. I'm really hoping for a faux leather too. I probably email them about it way too much. If WeR would do this - oh man I'd be so happy. I did alter the SS Christmas album for everyday use, and it came out nicer than I thought it would. I briefly consider buying more to alter, but as much as I love being crafty, I just don't want to spend my time altering albums. I want to spend my time on the pages that go inside.

I didn't get even an form letter reply email.

If I owned a scrapbook company I would start a division just to make wide spine 6x8 and 9x12 albums and 9x12 page protectors. People always need staples. What they don't need is every latest bell or whistle. Companies are really missing out on a great opportunity here. I really hope someone besides Becky Higgins (her quality is awful) decides to mass produce 9x12.

What they don't need is every latest bell or whistle. Companies are really missing out on a great opportunity here. I really hope someone besides Becky Higgins (her quality is awful) decides to mass produce 9x12. BH supposedly discontinued all of her original faux leather albums. With the acquisition of WRMK, her albums were supposed to be produced by WRMK's production people. WRMK and BH might not be able to if there is a patent or something on the SC/7P version...OR if there was a non-compete clause in their contract. That's why I think it would be great for SS. SC has a serious monopoly on this right now. I couldn't fathom even in my wildest dreams paying almost $1.00 per page protector. The AC Warehouse Sale in Orem, UT got a bunch of them in and I snagged the last 10 packs I could find (had to dig a lot to find them) when my husband and I took a day trip up there for my birthday earlier this month. I paid $2 per package and got an album for $8, that's the ONLY reason I have them. They had the 9x12 albums in January but not the page protectors, so I passed on the album. They were putting a ton of 7P stuff out when I was there in January so I wonder if I missed them putting out the PP by a few days. 7P was pretty much gone except for those few page protectors and a bunch of 9x12 albums this month compared to January. Right now, SC has a monopoly and they know it. Their prices will come down when competition inevitably hits the market...from a business perspective it makes sense to profit as much as you can before competition shows up. Hell, it didn't take long at all for BH to see competition when PL took off the way it did.

I didn't get even an form letter reply email. I didn't get an email reply when I emailed a couple weeks ago either. So I basically quoted my email to their facebook, but they only replied that they'd let their design department know about my request. Which is usually their email reply anyways. I'm going to get realllllly annoying to them at some point.

I've been complaining about it so much, my husband is threatening to start a company just for wide 6x8 albums, ha! 9x12 albums also make SO much sense. I really can't believe no one else has jumped on this. I don't know much about manufacturing honestly, but when I seen season after season of trendy products that get stale by the next season, but no really solid basics, I feel frustrated. I know the more disposable stuff keeps us coming back for more, but come on, we need some good basics like ALBUMS, and we need to be able to purchase more of them as we need them. For the past year or two now, I've noticed lots of randomly styled albums, cute albums, etc. but it's been way harder to find good quality albums in just nice solid colors, the faux leather, etc.

I was at The Scrapbook Superstore in Sevierville, TN yesterday and they have quite a few of the WRMK albums. I noticed 12x12 and 8.5x11 and some smaller sizes. The 12x12's were normal priced $29.99. They had Grape, Kelly. I was looking for WRMK 8.5x11 page protectors, but did not find any.

I talked to someone at the lss yesterday and AC is rebranding the WRMK albums and will release them again soon. Sadly, they are discontinuing the 8x8 albums. Might be able to get black in 8x8, but that will be it. So sad as 8x8 is the ones I am using for my recipe scrapbooks and who wants a black recipe book?
