Just curious where you buy the ones that are soooo good. The ones I've bought in the grocery stores here in years past have not been that sweet and good, so I haven't bought any this year.

Make sure you are actually buying clementines and not mandarins. My grocery store likes to put them under the wrong sign, or advertise clementines when the bag says mandarins on it (they do the same thing with yams and sweet potatoes and I was constantly buying the wrong one until I started going by color and not their sign).
Also they are a winter fruit so they are best earlier in the winter.
Just my experience...

I find really good Cuties at Costco from time to time but they don't always have them

We were buying Cuties last year which were so good, and this year they have been less than stellar and mushy. I just bought a nice bag of Smiles and will come back and post once we eat them!

The clementines that were so good and caused me to overindulge were purchased at BJs. I agree with @breetheflea, often at my local supermarket they will tag anything small and orange as a clementine, but the actual product often states tangerines or mandarins or tangelos.

The best ones we have gotten lately were from Walmart. There was a two week time period where they were soft at all of the stores so we had to wait it out for new batches.

My favorite clementines are always the ones sold in the wooden crates under the "Darlin'" or "My Darlin'" (I don't remember which) name.

I usually buy Cuties and they seem to be the best when the season starts in the fall/winter. I stop buying them about Feb because they get dry and bitter. And my kids won't touch a Halo at all. They both said they were gross.
I do love them when they are sweet and juice... mmmmmmm

I grow my own I think I hate you. LOL It's supposed to snow here on Wednesday...... Also they are a winter fruit so they are best earlier in the winter. Just my experience... I agree. It is past the season now. They are small and sour now. At least the ones in my grocery stores are. I think of them as a Christmas time treat, and try to eat my weight in them.
