Is this based on the Stephen King book?
I didn't know there was a show.

I'm watching...well, I haven't seen today's episode but all the rest.
James Franco is really good as Jake and I think Chris Cooper is great as Al. It's been suspenseful, creepy, scary (in parts) and I find myself looking forward to the next episode. Josh Duhamel was excellent as Frank Dunning...very interesting casting there.....and that episode was intense!
I read the book right when it came out, so enough time has passed that I'm not mired in the details of the book and just enjoy JJ's take on it.

No freecharlie I didn't read the book (I haven't read a SK book FOREVER).... Just my dd telling me about it...
Josh Duhamel... holy crap!! He scared the living daylights out of me....
Right now there are 7 episodes.. I still need to finish the last one....
I 'think' there is only 8 episodes... does anyone know that for sure and will there be anymore?

I'm thinking of doing my hulu free trial to watch this show. Will if be on demand later? I'd like to wait until summer.

Are all of the episodes on Hulu? I might join for one month just so I can watch it.

I've been watching because I read the book specifically for this release. It strays a bit but I'm still in it to finish it. Loved the book. Hoping to love this in the end.

I subscribed to Super Channel here in Canada just for this series but I've been a little disappointed. Love the casting but I've found it a little slow-paced. Plus one major deviation from the book is bothering me, lol! I've only watched four episodes and I'll definitely finish it despite that.

I just discovered this series over the weekend and have watch all episodes through today's. It is my understanding that it is and 8 part series. I haven't read the book so didn't really know what it was about.

It's an 8 part series. Today's episode is #7, and next week will be the last episode.
Sidetrack, but I've gotten to where I wish most series were limited run. There is nothing worse than dragging out a story, or losing the thread of a story, because you need to keep the show going indefinitely. I watched episodes of both The Catch and The Family tonight, and I found myself wishing they were both limited run, even if it were a large number of episodes, because I want both stories to be resolved at some point.

I have kinda watched it. I was very excited about it and signed up with Hulu just to watch it but have been disappointed in it. It is too different from the book for me.

I read the book recently. I watched part of the first episode and just couldn't get into it, slow and the parts I saw didn't align with the book at all.
