I am copying the link to a post on Facebook (my husbands repurposed things he makes) and want to pin on pinterest . I go to my profile, click the plus sign and paste the link but then it fails. Am I doing something wrong?

I don't think you can pin Facebook content to Pinterest.

I save the image on my phone to the camera roll and then upload it that way. I don't know if that is useful to you though.

You can't pin facebook links to pinterest. You'll need to save the photo and upload it to pinterest.

You can pin a photo and then copy and paste the link. Right click on the photo, copy the photo link and paste into a new window. Pin the photo. The link is a media cache. Then go back to the Facebook post, copy the URL and paste that into the description. It won't give a clickable link but it will be able to be sourced.

Everything I read indicated those get removed eventually. I don't think Facebook wants its content on Pinterest.
