I saw that, and I'm also glad she called him out. He's such an ass.

Good for her! Our state also refused to expand medical coverage for those in the insurance gap (too low for Obamacare, too high for medicaid.) I wish I could do the same thing as this woman. they have no idea what it's like to struggle. My dd and her husband fall into that gap and my dd has health issues that make health insurance an absolute priority. The federal government was going to give my state money to help with the gap. They said no because they don't like the president. I could scream.

My state also refused to cover the gap. They also cut funding to Planned Parenthood. I'm trying desperately to get my son on Medicaid through a waiver program because Obamacare does not cover his pre-existing condition.
The federal government will cover it if you're military (tricare insurance) and it should. Our insurance doesn't have to comply with state laws that mandate the therapy be covered because my husband is a federal employee. Even then, the state law only covers ages 2-9.
My son is on a wait list and it will be 7-8 years before he will be on Medicaid. I never thought I'd be a parent desperate to get my kid on Medicaid. One of "those people" who are leaches off the government. Our monthly payments to insurance does nothing to help him besides prescriptions.

i hate that SOB and so glad he got an earful in public, he's an absolute jackass..who's pockets are lined by big sugar and the insurance industry. He is also responsible for a bill back in 2013/14 which was supposed to eliminate frivolous lawsuits against the insurance industry. My mother died in a hospital after a botched cath lab procedure.....and we aren't able to bring a suit against the doctor or hospital because she didnt have a surviving spouse or child under the age of 25. He's an arrogant, uncaring douche, who isn't fit to hold public office '

I don't know anything about him, but he is obviously a big wimp. If he gave a crap or could even defend himself he could have tried to have a conversation with the women instead of running out (with his rather large entourage) with his tail between his legs.

It's pretty obvious to me that she had no intention of having a conversation with him, and regardless of his policies or character, whatever they may be, he was smart to remove himself from that situation.

Yeah, that's the way to get things done. Disrupt everyone and champion for the down-trodden by yelling obscenities from behind your laptop at Starbucks. I'm sure the governor has been thinking long and hard about his decisions regarding the issue and is certain to change due to this brave woman's heroic confrontation. Where have all the adults gone?

So instead of Rick Scott just walking away the outburst at Starbucks he had to "drop" his own video with a response. All it did, IMO, is as the article implies is making him look like a big douche bag. There was absolutely no upside to releasing the video.

Well, for better or worse, this is my maiden post at this site (if anyone cares, I posted maybe three or four times at the old place). As a Floridian, I'm proud of her. No, it wasn't the most dignified way of expressing her opinion, but if Rick is going to align himself with the biggest loudmouth out there, he should expect the opposition to respond in kind.

To be honest, I'm really not comfortable with that kind of public verbal attack on any public servant ... or any person, period.
However, the fact does remain that Rick Scott is a giant douche.
Hey, didn't Florida re-elect this guy already??

There are certainly better ways of letting an elected official know how unhappy one is with their performance. However having said that our elected officials really do a pretty good job of insulating themselves from the masses.
I live in a small town. My sister had an issue she wanted to talk about with the Mayor. She stopped by City Hall and asked if she could make an appointment to talk to the Mayor. The Administrative Assistant came out and asked my sister what she wanted to talk to the Mayor about. She told her and the AA told her the only way to make an appointment to talk to the Mayor is if she made the request by letter. My sister was not asking to meet with the Mayor right then and there she just wanted to set up an appointment. I live close to city hall and she was on the way over so it made sense to stop by and make the appointment. But apparently even in a small town one has to jump through hoops to meet with elected officials. That is until they want your vote.
So sometimes I guess when one sees their chance they take it.

As a fellow Floridian, I welcome your comments!! To date, I have never met a single person who will admit to voting for him. How he won the second time will remain up there as one of the great mysteries in life.

Paul Davis was leading in all the polls, leading all night and then all of the sudden Brownback won. But then a statistician came forward and said she had reviewed the voting patterns and there are clear discrepancies and the count cannot be substantiated. So she sued to get access to the voter tapes from the machines and was turned down by a judge and Kris Kobachs office. So he remains our worthless ignorant Gov.

Does anybody else think that Rick Scott looks like the bad guy from an X-Files episode? I have to expect him to turn into some kind of giant worm at some point…
