I have not made this in ages, and would like to make it this week. However, I no longer can find the Lawrys Mesquite marinade with lime.
Anyone know of a good alternative?

It makes a ton! I half it if I am making it just for us. It is also good as a cold pasta salad.

That was one of our favorite recipes too. I haven't made it since I can't find the marinade either.

I don't know if this will help, but I did find it online.

Sounds really yummy! I haven't looked for that marinade here, but I'd be tempted to just try and find plain mesquite marinade (or spice mix) and add fresh lime juice.
Wah - now I wanna make this for dinner but I don't wanna go out to the store because we have the dreaded "wintry mix" coming down fast and furious right now. Ugh!

I'm not finding an actual recipe? Link in second post in thread. When I click on that it gives her modifications but not the recipe. When I click on the link in that page it just brings me to becky's page, not the recipe.

Today is grocery day and I happened to look at this thread just before going. My store did have that marinade so I picked up the rest of the ingredients. Looking forward to trying it out.

This recipe is SO good. OK, not so healthy, but so good! I have shared this recipe many times among friends and it almost always becomes a favorite. The note about the pepper is right on, the pepper truly makes this dish.

We have used that Lawry's marinade, although I bought Paul Newman's lite lime vinaigrette dressing (for adding to my cowboy caviar) and it has a fantastic lime flavor that may work! I would say it is a lot runnier, though. We have used it as a chicken marinade and also use it for taco salads for a lime zip.
This recipe sounds fantastic - I am putting it on my must try list!

Amazon has the marinade--is $18 for 6 bottles.

I made this for the first time last night. Couldn't find the marinade so I used Meijer brand Mesquite marinade and the juice of 1 lime. Also did not use pepper as I do not like overly spicy dishes. It was fantastic! Extremely rich and not even remotely diet friendly, but fantastic!
