I'm still using an account that was picked up by AT&T when my original provider was bought out. Now I think it is Yahoo but they honor the old address. Today they started using some different kind of sign on which isn't working so far on my laptop. I can sign in through my husband's computer. There is no option for contacting Yahoo at all. I'm hoping the problem gets resolved but if it doesn't, I need to switch my email which will be a real pain and I only want to do it once.
I have a gmail account for personal that I just set up.
What do you recommend for an email provider?
Thanks!

There are only two email providers that free and reliable:
- Gmail - Microsoft Outlook (used to be called Live Mail)
Yahoo has been steadily going downhill for the past year. I have timed gaps in receiving mail anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 days over the past three months.
I would stick with Gmail.

For yahoo email through ATT, you contact ATT about the problem---You don't want to hear the story of how I know.)
I'm not thrilled with what is happening, but I've had my email address (a simple one) since 1995 and I hate to change that--and all the notifications I need to send, blah, blah...........

I think I talked to them back when Yahoo 'upgraded' so I couldn't use Outlook anymore to receive my mail. Their resolution didn't work so I just started using my mail on-line as I had an older version of Outlook anyway. I'm starting to move stuff over to my gmail account. It is going to be a lot of work. I found a Yahoo posting on their site somewhere for April 9 that indicated they were having problems and asked you to respond if you were affected. There were 22,500 responses. So far nothing from Yahoo about what is wrong.

I like Gmail because once you have a Gmail account – you have an account for all Google related products. Google drive, Google plus, YouTube, Google play, blogger… It's all the same.

Well, my ATT/Yahoo mail is back up. Didn't even have to sign back on. It was just there again this afternoon. I've moved one thing over to gmail already and will probably do more. This is twice now I've had issues and no real way to find out what is going on.
Thanks for your suggestions!
