I posted this a few days ago:
We are gearing up for our annual Cousin's Crafting Retreat! Yay! Most of us scrapbook. A few do other crafts (beading, crocheting, knitting etc). Last year 3 of us did co-ordinating make and takes. (Sugar scrub, gift bag and gift card). Instead of make and takes this year I am putting together a kit. Each person will get an identical kit and from this kit they can make a double page layout or a card (for the non scrapbookers). Everyone will have to come up with their own design and we will compare them at the end of the weekend.
I went on to list some ideas I had and ask for more. Thanks for the help! This is what I came up with. I was aiming for $5 a kit and came in slightly under $4 by shopping close outs and my stash. (Photos at the end of the post):
1 12x12 element sheet from My Minds Eye "Love me do" line circa 2009.
1 12x12 double sided pattern paper from My Minds Eye "Love me do" line. (I showed each side in photo but they are only getting one sheet) Papers 2,5 in the photo. Circa 2009
1 12x12 double sided pattern paper from My Minds Eye Alphabet Soup line. (Same as above). Papers 1,3 inphoto.
2 12x12 light grey (kinda a grungy white, couldn't find cream in the packs I was looking at) cardstock (only one shown in photo).
4 die cut pieces from two different packs.
2 coordinating mini clothespins
2 large white heart doilies
1 small turquoise round doily
4 coordinating decorative brads
11 coordinating buttons (from my stash)
4 coordinating flowers (from my stash)
12 little bling pieces
2 lengths of wash tape (from my stash)
1 length of twine (from my stash)
1 sheet of letter stickers
6 whimisical occasion "stamped images" (since I am no good at stamping and got rid of all of mine, I opted for finding digital stamps online. I pretty sure these ones are free but I am going to follow the links back to make sure. These are mostly for those opting to make cards. I will be supplying colored pencils)
4 envelopes (from my stash. My original plan was going to be 1 but I figure there is enough stuff here to make at least four.
I also pulled supplies to make decorative paper clips. I may or may not get to those but I love the little clothes pins so I will be ok if I don't get them done. (ETA: I don't know why but photos 1,3 are appearing upside down in the thumbprint but if you click on them they appear right side up. Also, I posted a MUCH better pic of the papers four or five posts down. The colors are clearer.)
