I was at DSW today and saw a few cute pairs of Gladiator Sandals---but I didn't want to pay $50-$100 to get just one summer out of them.
What are your thoughts......

I think so. They always seem to come back. That said, I've never bought the knee high styles, but I do have a couple of ankle high gladiators.

I would say yes to the ankle type and no to the calf height or higher. They've been 'in' for a few summers now and I think they'll be around for a few more.

I think you need to have the right type of legs and the right size of sandals. I don't love or hate gladiator sandals.

Around here, they have already run their course (ha ha). That may not be true everywhere, though.
I have some that I will still wear, but I won't be buying new ones.

I just bought some of he ankle style. I could never wear the taller ones, and don't really care for them. I can see them maybe going out of style in the next couple of years.

I guess so, having survived in some form or other since gladiator days.

I have a pair I like, but some seem a little much so I guess it depends on the pair. My teen dd likes mine so I guess they got the hip seal of approval.

They've been in style the last few summers, however they just look uncomfortable, putting them on and the possible suntan resulting from them.

I'm not a huge fan of the way they look - especially the ones that come higher up the leg and even the shorter ones when they are too "heavy" looking. I do see people still wearing them though.

I am not their biggest fan, but only because my legs are about as long as a stump and I don't think that they are flattering on me.
I really don't see them very often and we are smack dab in the middle of sandal/flip flop world so I see a pretty good variety of summer shoes.

Funny, I just answered in the girly thread that I hardly wear sunscreen unless I am going to be outside for a while.

Please go away. Time for a new style of shoes.
