Rats, so close! If only the D were a J, it would be mine and dh's initials.

This is totally where I put the monogram on something and make up a fun story about a great aunt Drucilla who started a business making glitter pasties for fan dancers in the 20's. Or something. We have a framed picture in the house that I picked up at an antique store-it's black and white and of a man with a HUGE beard standing in front of a very old canvas tent and tools laying around. We call him Uncle Wheezy the moonshiner.

The initials say DWL and your post says DLW. I often see the last initial in the middle in monograms. I imagine that's the case with the OP's decals, especially since the middle letter is so much larger. This thread caught my eye because my daughter's initials are DLW!

Oh I only have 2 initials and have never bought a monogrammed item. Sorry about that.

I don't monogram often either, but did recently for a Thirty One tote bag and I did the first - LAST - middle initial monogram. It does seem a little strange to do it that way, doesn't it?

That's ok, it was tricky ordering them b/c they didn't make it super clear if I was supposed to order the ACTUAL initials and they would put them in monogram order, or if I was supposed to enter them in monogram order to start with. Monograms ARE kind of weird. I like my initials (AMR) ok . . . but I don't ever have anything monogrammed for myself because walking around with something labeled ARM is not my cup of tea.

The initials say DWL and your post says DLW. The large letter in the middle is always the last name initial. ETA never mind! Someone already said. And Anne Marie, there are different monogram styles that wouldn't put yours in ARM order.
